As Lucas left, Magdalene stood up to leave too but Anastasia called her and requested that they walk together. It was awkward at first but as they indulged in small conversations it turned out better.

"So Magdalene how long have you and Lucas been courting each other" She asked a little nervously afraid that Magdalene will be offended" It's fine if you don't want to answer" She quickly added to avoid any misunderstanding.

"No it's fine." Magdalene said with a smile trying to understand when it all happened. She didn't even realize when she started falling in love with Lord Lucas. Was it when he saved her from being burnt or during their journey to Westendorf.

"I really don't know but somehow I've always looked up to Lucas with great respect and admiration, perhaps it was then I began to love him" She said trying to hide a stupid blush creeping to her cheek. Anastasia laughed at how easily flustered the girl was.
