Magdalene cleared her throat trying to draw his attention, but he didn't even pay any attention to her as he kept reading. She stood for several minutes with her heads down, not knowing what to say or how to even act. She would be a very big liar to say she wasn't scared.
She was even terrified, she didn't dare breath too loudly or raised her head to meet his. Her entire body was shaking and she thought she would collapse any minute. The Lord had this oppressive aura around him that made someone extremely uncomfortable. After standing for a while she couldn't bare it anymore so she gathered all her wits and called out.
"Lord Lucas" She said almost in a whisper.
"Hmm" He answered nonchalantly. Magdalene fidgeted for a long time before she tried to speak to again.
"Is there something you want me to do?" Magdalene asked softly.
"No" He answered straight forwardly.
"Oh" Magdalene said awkwardly, so he wanted her to just stand and watch him work.
