After leaving the private dining room, Scarlett looked around and spotted two figures, one tall and one short, in front of a claw machine. They were bickering.
"The way you're trying to grab it won't work," Jack said.
"Your method just now was even more unreliable," Ronnie retorted.
"I almost had it, okay?" Jack argued.
"Who hasn't had a near miss?" Ronnie replied.
Scarlett stood behind them, watching as Jack inserted a few more coins into the machine. He seemed determined to win, but the toy was uncooperative. It only moved slightly, making his efforts futile.
"I told you it wouldn't work," Ronnie remarked.
"Can you stop talking for a bit? You're driving me crazy!" Jack responded in a deep voice.
"How can you talk to me like that? I'm your elder!" Ronnie frowned.
Just as it looked like they were about to come to blows, Scarlett quickly intervened, "Let me try."
Only then did Ronnie and Jack realize she was standing 2 feet behind them.
