"Father," Kyle said with a slight worry in his eyes. His mind was working in all possible directions to come up with something that would make Layla happy.

'She is just putting up a facade,' Kyle told himself again and again, 'There is no way Father will ease around Layla to make her this happy.'

"Please have a seat, Kyle," Mr. Black said as he showed the seat beside Layla, "I heard you were waiting for a long time?"

Kyle nodded and sat in the chair quietly. His eyes constantly turning towards Layla.

"I heard you got a new house with Layla?" Mr. Black was straightforward with his words. He felt like some things that can be achieved directly should be said straightforwardly and for the other... Well, he was a good schemer as well.

"Yes," Kyle nodded his head. That was not a piece of news anyway. What confused him was the fact that his father already knew about it and yet he was asking such useless questions in front of Layla.
