章 22: You're my wife now!
When they finally reached the table. She taps the man's hand and signals him to put her down. She has forgotten wearing the most daring and sexy clothing in her entire existence.
"Give me rice" she commanded then grabbed the shrimps and happily eat.
"Rice… faster!!" she repeated seeing him unmoving. As expected, these foods were not only beautiful to the eyes. They are also very delicious.
She felt exceptionally satisfied savoring single bite ignoring everything. Sab is eating like a hungry Viking.
"Eat slower, no one will snatch the food from you," he said smiling as he placed a bowl of rice in front of her.
Sab did not listen. She took each portion of the dishes and eat it with no care. She only slowdown after almost an hour but didn't stop.
After a while, Sab yawned caressing her stomach. She now felt sleepy and wants to crawl back to the room when she remembers Tom.
She instantly turns her gaze and saw him looking directly at her chest with an evil smile.
Before she could react, he pulled her up and was forced to seat on his lap facing him.
She tried to escape, but no vail. He was hugging her waist tightly. "You move on more time and I'll eat you up here," he warned in a hoarse voice.
She instantly froze and did not dare to move or even breathe. Her heart thumps loudly non-stop. She's so scared that this wolf will do something inappropriate to her.
Tom's image is known for changing his women like changing his shirts. But the truth is, he is a very traditional man.
He will not touch anyone and never marry anyone against his will or because he was asked to.
At an early age, he joined his father's company to learn, get exposure, gets more experience and widen his connections. After he graduated from college, he already started his own business.
Though he normally surrounded by beautiful women, no one captured his attention especially when his company becomes bigger.
And when his parents decided to pass the business to him since his other 2 siblings are still studying and don't have the slightest interest in the business yet, he almost lives in the office that made his parents anxious for this future.
When he reached 25, they arrange a lot of blind dates and beg him to just give it a try, if it didn't work, they will respect his decision. Since then, it never stops.
The longest relationship he had was 6 months because the woman clanged too much and refused to break-up with him like a leech.
This woman did a lot of tricks and even talked to his parents to delay the break-up. If he hadn't almost destroyed their family business, she wouldn't stop.
Being known as his woman elevates their status both in the socialite world and business world. No woman would easily let go of him and the opportunity even if it was clear from the start that their relationship was just a trial and can be voided anytime he wanted.
His grandparents and parents had big names in the entertainment and business world, and he had also built a name for himself in the Real Estate and IT world. As the eldest and only son in the family, there were a lot of women aiming to be part of their family and be his wife.
Though this little wife cannot be labeled as a goddess and does not possess the most desirable body, his body easily reacts just by looking at her as if his body doesn't belong to her. He mostly found himself playing all the tricks to kiss and hug the little wife whenever there's an opportunity to do so.
Sab tried to push Tom as she felt his big and warm hand exploring her body. His kiss was intense and a bit harsh but playful at the same time.
Her body reacted and heated up. Sab finds it hard to resist his kisses. Suppressing the sensational and lingering feeling inside, an involuntary moaned was heard in the house that made her face instantly turned red.
"Ahuh..." She wanted to run and hide. She was embarrassed. Her body defies all her refusals.
Tom heard this and got more excited. He carried her without parting their lips and went up to the master's bedroom.
Sab's mind becomes blurry on what is happening. When she heard that her nightie was ripped off by him, she panicked.
She has never been in a relationship. She wants to preserve everything for her future husband. But Tom teased her every time and lost this chance. If she fails to stop him to go all the way, she will never be the same again. Their marriage is fake, and she cannot imagine being with him for a long time. They can't cross the line.
She's not a fan of Cinderella's story and did not believe that she will have a happily ever after ending.
Thinking all the beautiful and wealthy women fighting for his attention, she felt sorry for herself and pressured at the same time.
It would be like a lifetime battle that she is not even qualified to join, if she did then there will only have one result.
Sab gathered all her strength to push Tom, she kicked him and bitten his lips but Tom was like a mindless beast attacking his prey. He even becomes more aggressive trying to conquer her last defense.
When their lips slightly parted, she took this opportunity to push him away and spoke.
"Tom, our marriage is fake. You can't... we can't..."
Tom is panting when he answered locking their eyes. "Why not? You are my wife now!"
Sab: "..."
Tom wants to kiss her again but she averted.
"What do you mean? The marriage is real???"
Tom watched the little wife intently, not wanting to miss anything. Seeing her worried face, Tom did not answer immediately as if weighing whether, to tell the truth, or not.
He answered lazily. "hmmm..."
She asked again. "Our marriage is real???"
"hmmm..."
Sab blinked a few times and looked the man with a serious face. As if waiting for him to take back what he just said.
Seeing his blank expression, Sab's clear eyes widen in disbelief. She covered her slightly parted lips.
His voice keeps repeating on her head. "You're my wife now!"
Then if this was not one of her weird dreams, she has to fight for her place to fulfill the kind of life she dreamed of.
Thinking of the scary women around him, she felt weaklier.
Her head is spinning. This is not what she wanted.
She just wants a non-complicated life. A relationship like her parents had.
Simple, nothing extravagant but full of happiness and love.
A simple man, not too good looking, not rich but an honest, loyal and hardworking man.
It seems even this kind of life is still is too much for her to wish for.
She felt crying at the thought but unable to do anything on her faith.
Tom was surprised to see frustrations in her eyes. A lot of women throwing themselves to him to be his woman, but this little wife of him is unhappy and unwilling?
They'd been together for almost 3 months and impossible for her not to know him and how capable he is aside from the fact that he is a great looking man. "Was she playing stupid or playing hard to get?" he thought.
"No worries, I will give you a lot of money when I divorce you. You'll live off well even in another lifetime." He did not hide his anger as said this.
Sab's face darkened. Though she was in a tough situation, she did not sell herself to him. It never came to her mind.
It was he who trapped her into this marriage. Why does it sound that she'll be compensated well later after delivering a great service?
Her eyes instantly become misty. She was hurt at his indirect insult. Thinking of her becoming emotional again, she closed her eyes.
Sab is very rational and do not normally waste emotion even if she gets a curse by the people around her. She mastered to ignore anything not related to her and focus on herself and goal alone.
But having Tom around her, she felt vulnerable. Her feeling was like a roller coaster, it goes up and down without noticing it.
Tom felt the drastic changed in Sab's emotion. It's not the response he is expecting. No anger, no excitement it just flats low spirit, like a flower about to die.
The room full of excitement a while ago become cold and suffocating. He gritted his teeth and angrily walk out of the room.
At the Warehouse Club.
Tom is sitting with the other four good looking men, Anthony, Liam, Caleb, and Luke inside the VIP room.
Their grandparents and parents were good friends so it was no surprise for them to be friends as well.
Though they do not talk to each other regularly, they keep their communication open especially in business aspects.
One call and everyone gathers.
Luke spoke. "Hey Tom, you look like hell today. Did someone dump you?"
Tom did not answer. Remembering the incident a while ago, his face becomes sullen. Their marriage was not real. He suddenly imagined Sab together with Henry and got extremely angry so he lied about the authenticity of their marriage. Even he cannot understand why he said this lies.
Luke only said it as a joke and did not mean anything. But when Tom did not deny it, he was shocked.
Luke is the most cheerful and talkative of the group. Most of them are reserved but because of Luke's personality, he gets everyone to talk every time they meet.
"You were dumped?" Anthony asked in disbelief as well. "Who is that bold girl? Let us meet her."
"Oh well, this is new. Was she serious? Or just putting an act to capture your attention because her main goal is to be your wife later?" Liam chuckled and spoke as if he is trying to remind everyone what happened in the past without telling the story again.
"I was the one who proposed for marriage. I am the one chasing her and I am doing everything to keep her closed with me." Tom answered in his mind. Realizing this, he drinks another glass of wine.
Everyone stunned. Even he is not saying it out loud, they know that this girl might have been different from other girls they knew.
All of them came from an influential family and been successful individually. Most people considered them eligible bachelor.
Because of their great looks and status, they experienced all sorts of schemes even from the woman belongs to the same circle.
Caleb almost got himself married to one if he had not found evidence to prove this.
Though Caleb has the weakest aura among the group, he is the most dangerous among them.
He mastered insulting and cursing people in a very respectful, delightful and professional manner.
People who don't know this will stupidly talk to him first before the rest of the group with the intention to gain favors.
In the end, the matter will never get to them because Caleb slandered already the person softly beyond recognition.
Due to what happened, their parents will just act as a matchmaker but will rest on them the final decision except on Caleb. He has been firmed not to bother him anymore.
