"So? What was he talking about me smelling like an Alpha every day at work?" Fyre raised his eyebrow as he asked Tian Zi while putting his hands on his side as if scolding a little child. Meanwhile, as soon as the Alpha heard him, he twitched a little and was reluctant to reply because he knew Fyre wouldn't like his answer. Honestly, he thought he wouldn't be found out knowing that there were no other Alphas in the set except for that 'bastard' and thought he was safe but now it has been revealed.
As for Fyre, he didn't really mind that Tian Zi was marking him but he wanted to know because when an Alpha pheromones stick to him, he really can't smell that and it honestly might cause him trouble especially since there are a lot of people around him now and he's currently supposed to be single. Thankfully there was no Alpha or Omega on the set that could smell him. Still, what if someone was and smelled the Alpha pheromones and spread rumors about him sleeping with Alphas to gain favor. There could be many things to make rumors about so it's better to be careful.
"Uhmm... well... i-it's only a little... only t-those sensitive to it can actually notice it, Fyre," Tian Zi explained and he was actually telling the truth. Even back then, he used to spread his scent on Fyre to protect him and there hasn't been a problem because not all Alphas or Omegas are sensitive to pheromones but when he met that actor, he knew immediately that he was like him who was sensitive to pheromones as well so he deliberately kept making sure Fyre had his scent before meeting him.
'And well, it's not like you didn't like that... you always liked the process of doing it like when we cuddle, make out, or have sex,' Tian Zi thought as he pouted. There was no way Fyre wouldn't know that he was doing it. He was pretty obvious and was not planning to hide it to begin with. In fact, he kind of thought that Fyre knew already and was completely okay with it, but he also never mentioned it in case he thought wrong and didn't want to be asked to stop doing what he wanted.
"*sigh* Fine, just keep it subtle if you can't help it, okay?" Fyre suddenly replied with a helpless sigh because he knows that some Alphas are more territorial than others and it was just natural to him to think that Tian Zi was one of them since he's more sensitive to pheromones than others and he's a rare Alpha that could knot. Additionally, he's already too tired to even get angry and he just wanted to rest.
"... wait, let me check you," At the same time, as soon as Tian Zi heard his lover's reply, his eyes went wide and he quickly stepped close to touch the Omega's forehead with a worried face but his expression soon turned confused when it doesn't seem like Fyre was sick.
"W-what are you doing?" Fyre frowned but a blush quickly made its way to his cheeks, seeing that Tian Zi was so close to him.
"Are you really okay? Why aren't you yelling and kicking me already?" Tian Zi asked worriedly because normally, Fyre would have burst into anger and started yelling at him and kicking him. Usually, when Fyre becomes soft and calm like this, he would be sick... or just plain exhausted.
"You want me to yell and kick you?" Fyre asked, gritting his teeth as a single nerve popped inside his head.
"Well...no... but you used to so I thou—" Tian Zi replied still with a worried expression but he wasn't able to finish his words when a sudden kiss landed on his lips and before he knew it, it quickly pulled away instantly making him regretful since obviously, he wanted more.
"The reason why I kept fighting with you before was to hide what I feel for you... I don't need to do that anymore so you'll have to get used to this side of me," Fyre stated with a serious expression. He was telling the truth. Although it is true that he is short-tempered most of the time, it's not like he's always like that. He could be the sweet and indulgent type too. And recently, Tian Zi has been very sweet and caring so how can he get mad at him? Sometimes, he just thinks that his lover is a huge baby.
"...." Hearing his beloved's words, it was Tian Zi's turn to blush before he straightened his back scratching his nape in embarrassment before he stepped forward again and hugged Fyre.
"O-Okay if you say so..." Tian Zi mumbled, not expecting such a straightforward confession from the Omega that he didn't know what to respond to aside from hiding against his lover's neck. Fyre chuckled and helplessly hugged the Alpha back and thought that Tian Zi is definitely a huge baby.
They remain hugging for a little bit more, savoring the moment when a loud ringtone rang across the room. Since the ringtone was not coming from his cellphone, Fyre ever so slightly, frowned in confusion especially when the call had already ended and then it rang again but Tian Zi was still not planning to pull away from their hug that he took it to himself and did it.
"Aren't you going to answer that?" Fyre asked, raising one eyebrow and looking at his lover who pouted annoyed. This was because the specific ringtone that was currently ringing was from someone he didn't want to talk to right now.
"It's just brother Hanlu. Nothing good will come out of his call so I'd rather not answer it," Tian Zi replied. Aside from Fyre's number, no one else has a devoted ringtone on his phonebook except Mo Hanlu himself. As for the reason, it was simply because he wanted to know if he should bother looking at the caller ID or not because when the older Alpha called him, most of the time, it was just a waste of time.
"Honestly, I don't know anymore if you like your older brother or not," Fyre snorted as he commented before he laughed. Sometimes Tian Zi really does seem like he admired both Mo Hanlu and Mo Laotian, but sometimes he's acting annoyed when it comes to Mo Hanlu but at the same time, he always listens to his advice or at least really considers it. The love and hate relationship between the brothers is really strong in his opinion.
"What?! I don't admire that loose-mouth and busy-body childish adult!" Tian Zi strongly defended but Fyre only laughed as he walked away to change his clothes since it was already time for bed and he was already so exhausted.
"Okay okay, if that's what you want to say but Zi, your brother will keep calling you until you finally pick up. You know he's that stubborn. I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night with Mo Hanlu knocking on our door," Fyre said with another chuckle. Of course, Hanlu had never done that before but with his stubborn personality, he might actually do it one of these days especially when the Alpha's already kept on convincing him to give up acting. Well, as much as he wanted to do that, especially since he and Tian Zi are planning to have a baby as soon as possible, he also didn't want to cause trouble for everyone since breaching such a huge contract will cost a lot of money, time, and effort.
Money might be nothing for the Mos but for Fyre who will be the center of all that attention, he'll once again become the target of hate and scrutiny. He really doesn't want that to happen to him and becomes depressed again so he'd rather work as an actor.
"Well.. . you're right about that... But... tch, fine! Still, I know he had nothing good to say," Tian Zi reluctantly replied, clicking his tongue before he fished out his mobile phone. He frowned looking at the caller ID before taking a deep sigh and finally accepting the call.
"What do you want?" Tian Zi asked in a monotonic voice as soon as the call had connected. At the same time, Hanlu who was impatiently waiting for his call to be accepted yelled in frustration ignoring his younger brother's question.
"Why are you so slow in picking my calls but so fast when it comes to Eldest brother?! Is this discrimination and favoritism? I'm the one that cares about you more, you ungrateful child!" Hanlu complained as he pouted and frowned. This baby brother who he took care of so much when he was younger, why's he not worshiping him right now? Was all his care and investments into that perfect Alpha body all a failure in vain?
"I bet you didn't even plan to accept my call and Fyre just told you to do so! Well... if you tell me you're diligently making my nieces, then I don't mind," Hanlu continued, which made Tian Zi roll his eyes, starting to get annoyed.
"If you know then you shouldn't have called. You just interrupted us," Tian Zi said as if saying he and Fyre were indeed making his nieces.
"Wow, really? Make sure you're doing it right, okay? I want cute and chubby ones, hehehe." Hanlu exclaimed excitedly, already imagining Lan and his soon younger sibling running with Minmin, the twins, little Eli, and the youngest running around the house and then to him while calling his name.
"We don't get to decide that—anyway, what are you calling for?? Quit knocking around the bush!" Tian Zi replied in irritation but realizing that he was riding into his older brother's pace, he quickly tried to calm down and asked again. This is the reason why he didn't want to accept any of his calls because he talks too much until he actually forgets what he wanted to say. It's really annoying and bothersome even if he wasn't doing anything.
"Ah! Yeah I forgot... Look through your social media! Are you even sure you're diligently making my nieces!? Fyre seemed to be on the brink of being snatched away from your grasped!" Hanlu informed and this time again he frowned in disappointment.
"What do you mean!" Tian Zi replied, frowning as well. 'Fyre being snatched away? Dream on!' Tian Zi thought. There's no way he was going to allow that! Over his dead body.
"Fyre just had a date with his co-star and it's been photographed! They're hella sweet and suggestive. You have some explaining to do in the whole family tomorrow, Mom and Dad told me to have you and Fyre visit the main estate," Hanlu revealed and immediately, Tian Zi knew what he was talking about.
'Shit! Great... Now we have to tell them everything,' Tian Zi thought again as he massaged his temples. He was very glad that despite his marriage announcement with Fyre, the elders had been very quiet but after this, they'll definitely start intervening. This was why they had to hide Fyre's condition or else they'll make a fuss about it over and over again.
"Ughh, call you later... I have to go," Tian Zi quickly ended the call before even letting Hanlu finish his scolding as he immediately went through his social media and true to his words, a photograph of Fyre and Apollo from earlier's date is indeed blowing the mainstream media in just an hour completely cutting off his appearance.
