Rayleigh already kicked Christopher away after their morning therapy session, her hand now almost fully functional, though the lingering numbness and ghost pains still plagued her at times.

As Matthew arrived in Madrid and joined them in the afternoon, his face etched with profound sadness, Ane couldn't help but feel a pang of concern. When she offered him a meal, he eagerly accepted, letting the older woman order everything, and he ate everything in a very short time.

"What's wrong with him?" Ane asked Rayleigh, her brow furrowed with worry.

Rayleigh sighed, a resigned look crossing her features. "He's heartbroken," she replied, a tinge of disbelief in her voice as she witnessed her brother's anguish once again.
