Before they departed for their trip to Venice, Anthony had come to their condo to closely inspect the stitch marks on Rayleigh's hands. As a surgeon himself, he wanted to ensure that the procedure had been carried out properly and that the scarring on his daughter's skin would be minimal.

"Dad, I know exactly what I need to do next. I'm a doctor, a surgeon, remember?" Rayleigh said, her tone both reassuring and slightly amusing. She understood her father's concern, but she was confident in her own medical expertise.

Isabelle walked closer to the father-daughter duo. She brought them each a glass of chilled Coke and enveloped Rayleigh in a warm embrace from behind. "Let him worry for you; in his eyes, you'll always be her little girl," she whispered softly in her wife's ear before placing a tender kiss on her cheek. Isabelle then moved to the kitchen to assist her mother with the preparations for their lunch.
