With a new cycle started and Dahlia finding a new faint glimmer of hope, she took a moment to reevaluate what was happening. Even though she was safe at the beginning of a cycle, the same couldn't be said for Valentina. Before even a second had passed, the woman was already fighting with a furious intensity. The Archduchess was given no reprieve, nor any time to process what had happened previously. She simply fought for her life, died, and then was immediately fighting for her life again.
I think that was my biggest chapter yet... But I really didn't want to have this fight continue into a fifth chapter. Four was already more than planned. I think it's safe to say though, even if the combat is over, the fight itself is going to continue mentally for a while. The mental ramifications of everything here is something I plan to pursue in upcoming chapters, so I hope you look forward to it and I also hope I do justice to it all.
Upcoming chapters will be less about exploration and fighting and more about characters, and learning new things. I hope that will be a fun change of pace. You can also expect to see some more perspectives of other characters coming up soon, so I hope that will be fun too.
Finally though, and perhaps the elephant in the room, is that next chapter will be a sneak peek at the second novel I'm working on. Now, it will only be one chapter and I have mixed feelings of sharing it seeing as it's just an early draft, but it's something I want to do. This second novel is what I've been working on when I get writers block for this story and it helps me be productive and creative, even when I'm struggling with Lost: To Be Found.
Anywayyyy, don't feel like you need to read it but it'll be there if you're interested. Now, after all that writing, I'm gonna go and relax... and as always, I hope you're having a wonderful day!
