Alexis couldn't stay buried in the library forever, as much as he wanted to. His eyes were strained and dry from the hours spent poring over dusty tomes and ancient scrolls, searching for any scrap of information that might help him in his mission. Eventually, he had to give up and leave, feeling defeated and frustrated.

When he stepped out of the library onto the first floor, he was surprised to find it empty. It was usually bustling with activity, with hunters coming and going, weapons being sharpened, and reports being filed. But now, there was nothing but eerie silence.

Puzzled, Alexis made his way to the entrance of the Demon Hunter's Guild. As he pushed open the heavy doors and stepped outside, he was shocked to find that the entire street was deserted. Not a single soul was in sight, and the buildings around him were dark and silent.
