章 8: Chapter 8: Hyeondong
(A/N: Some things change, some stay the same)
(Yun-Seo POV)
"So this is the newest member of our crew, Haru." Suhyeon spoke, introducing me to the…person.
The person had a beige sweater, their brown hair was tied in ponytail while a red bow held it in place. The person was shorter than me and have a very feminine face.
"So are you a girl or..?"
"I'm a guy!" Haru responded, making me shrug as I gave him a pat on the shoulder.
"Alright, if you say so."
While Suhyeon had gotten Haru to join, I had gotten things sorted out with Jaeha after I beat him.

Flashback
"Wanna know why I came for you in secret?" I asked Jaeha as I leaned back against the wall of the internet cafe, Jaeha having gotten up a few minutes prior.
"…Why is that?"
"Because this way neither the North or South should know about it, at least not for a while."
"So? Why'd you do that for?" He asked, making me slowly push myself up and stand.
"Simple. I want Seok Kang to think we're still enemies so we can come at him from both sides. As for the North… well they don't really matter right now."
Reaching down, I grabbed Jaeha's hand and pulled him up. "Anyone asks, I wasn't here, you had those two guys fight you to see if they were good enough."
"Don't stop your businesses, keep running your clubs and just kick some cash back to me. And also, Sigyeong Ryu can't know about this, outside you and those two, no one else knows. Got it?"
"Sure… Fuck, I got it." He winced in pain as I nodded.
"Good, then I have to leave."
As I turned to leave the Internet Cafe I heard Jaeha call out.
"Wait a sec, I get wanting Seok to be confused, but why shouldn't I tell the other high ranking members?"
I paused, mentally debating before sighing. "Because, Sigyeong Ryu is a spy of North Gangbuk."
"Do with that what you will, just don't let it slip that you lost to the West." Giving him a wave as I walked out the door, I made sure to keep my head down in case Sigyeong Ryu was around or anyone else as I got on the first bus back.

"Well nice meeting you Haru."
"Anyways," Clap. Suhyeon clapped his hands together before pushing Haru out of the room. "I need to talk to Yun-Seo, alone so please."
"Wha- Hey!" Haru was quickly pushed out before Suhyeon shut the door and turned to look at me.
"How is it?" He asked, making me cross my arms as I sat atop one of the desks.
"Jaeha Han lost to me and is part of the West, but I told him not to speak about it to any of the other high ranks." I began to recount the fight to Suhyeon, afterwards telling him what I told Jaeha Han to do before he let out a hum.
"With this we can soon take down Seok!"
"Right." I agreed, letting out a sigh before yawning. "Though you really should get stronger. You, Hyeondong, and Gukja, you all really need to get stronger."
Though Suhyeon look a bit displeased, he knew that my words were true as I patted his shoulder.
"Don't worry, in the words of video games, you just need to level up."
"Huh?"
"Train, better your skills or throw yourself at people and fight them. If life was a game, you would have to level up your skills." I spoke, mentally grinning at how he both accepted my advice while also looking completey confused at how close I was to his secret "unknowingly".
Leaving him confused, I made way through the halls of the school, ignoring the stares and bowing of the other delinquents and left because truthfully, I haven't gone to any of my classes since I started.
I really only come to school for the crew, other than that I just train at home or the gym.
Ding
A sound from my phone snapped me out of my thoughts, making me look at the screen as I smiled. I told Jaeha to send money to me just for the convienence, though I didn't think I'd get this much.

10 Million Won in a few days was great, I wasn't going to complain, and it was useful.
Messages - 1 (Unread)
Seeing the next notification, I clicked on it as I read the message.
Jaeha Han - Seok spoke to me yesterday, before you came. Suhyeon got his goods and offered me the territory in the SouthEast to attack you guys. What should we do?
Quickly typing out a reply, I realized that this may be needed because of the crew's weakness.
Yun-Seo Park - Send your guys, have them go after Hyeondong, it doesn't matter. Seok will still think we're enemies because of it.
This should be when Hyeondong awakens, sure I could not care, but I'll be nice about it and have that still happen.
Scrolling through the short contact list I had, I clicked on a profile as I clicked call and held the phone to my ear, an involuntary shiver running down my spine once the call connected.
(…Hello?)
(Are you at the gym today?)
A small silence began, making me impatiently tap my foot before I hward shuffling on the other end.
(I'll be there in 10)
Ending the call, I let out a breath I didn't know I held as I sighed. "Oh fuck… He actually accepted."
Shaking my head, I quickly made way to the boxing gym. Hyeondong will awaken, and I'll get some more training with Zack, though it's closer to me getting my ass handed to me but I'll take what I can get.
If I can do "that", then I may be able to earn something much better out of this.

(Suhyeon POV: 15 Minutes Later)
Since Yun-Seo beat Jaeha Han, if I could raise my stats and my cards then I can go against Seok without completely relying on Yun-Seo…
Ring….Ring
Taking out my phone, I held it to my ear as a frantic voice on the other end told me that some guys from the East were attacking Hyeondong.
'What?!'
Yuh-Seo beat Jaeha! Why is the East attacking us? Did Jaeha betray us? Many thoughts ran through my head but I couldn't be sure, the quest window didn't even say anything about this!

What?
[Hyeondong Lee's Potential is Skyrocketing!]
What does that mean?!

What's going on?!
I immediately brought up the crew members through the quest window, clicking on Hyeondong's profile as I looked at the screen in confused shock.

Awakened? Not only did Hyeondong awaken, he gained an exclusive card because of it?
As I looked at his stats I also saw that for a brief moment, his B-Ranked strength shot up to A, and based on the card, that meant he used a weapon just then right?
Seeing all of this happen, for a brief moment I felt my lips curl up. This was the next level…What Yun-Seo told me.
I couldn't use cloud since she was filling in for Haru, not until night at least, though it was still a risk.
But that didn't mean I couldn't learn right?

(A/N: If someone asks about Yun-Seo's decision, don't matter. Some things will be the same even if something changed. Yun-Seo will keep some things happening like normal even if the situation changed. If you can't handle that, sucks to suck. Hope those that can accept it have enjoyed so far though)
