章 109: A wedding gift

 AJ and Audrey were not at home when I arrived at their apartment. Thankfully I also have a key to their apartment since I am a regular visitor.

I immediately made myself feel at home by getting rid of my shoes and crushed on the couch to rest my head that seems to be throbbing badly. Probably due to the drama that happened this morning. Or my body is kind of punishing me for staying up late for weeks now.

Before I knew it my eyes lids got heavy and sleep took over.

"April." Someone suddenly tapped my arm.

I squint my eyes open to see Audrey hovering over me. I yawned "How long have I been out?" I say in a drowsy tone.

Audrey shrugged "I just came in and saw you asleep."

I twinge into a sitting position on the couch. "By the way, I hope you guys wouldn't mind if I become your new roomie?" I say, whilst rubbing my neck which was a bit stiff and aching.
