章 38: Chapter 36
"It's there! You son of a bastard, it's there!" A cloaked man yelled as he walked towards another cloaked man at the table who was writing something on the paper.
"Technically, I'm a son of a God, so it is insulting to call Him a bastard." He said cheekily.
"Never mind that! You didn't tell me that 'that thing' is there. RIGHT. THIS. VERY. MOMENT!" He yelled as he slammed his fist onto the table, making the man looked up at him from his papers.
"Ah, didn't i tell you?"
The angry man looked at him speechlessly.
"Don't tell me you sent the kid to kill that thing?" He asked cautiously.
"Ah....so you didn't know. I thought we were talking about the same thing before." The man said giddily as he rubbed his cheek.
"Well, obviously we don't! I thought you just sent the kid to seeing over the timeline there since we found the anomalies in that world. But you want the kid to catch 'that thing'?!"
"Hey. Can we just call 'that thing' as him. It got me confused." The man said nonchalantly.
"Then, how about YOU take this seriously!!" The man said angrily as he was practically directly in front of the other man's face.
"Alright, alright. I'll do what I can about this." He said nonchalantly again.
"You better! Or 'that thing' will ended up massacred the whole of that universe." The angry man said before he turned around and walked away, fumed with anger.
"Sigh, I should've read the contract properly before accepting this job back then." The man said tiredly as he slammed his head onto the table.

"Sigh. For some reason, it's getting colder day by day. Ah, come to think of it, it's your first winter here, right? Then, you're up for a surprise. You don't know how much snow falls down every year. Sometimes, I don't even feel like going out, haha. But, it must be fun for kids like you, right? Ah....wonder how it feels to play in the snow as a child again." That was what Yamanaka Inoichi said with a calm smile as he wrote something in his notebook.
'How do I even ended up here?' Yoshi, who was sitting across of Yamanaka Inoichi, sighed silently while pondering on his presence here. Yoshi didn't respond nor react to his words.
Currently, they were inside of a room at the Flower shop the Yamanakas owned. To simply put on how Yoshi ended up here, Inoichi was the one who requested to see Yoshi. It honestly shocked Yoshi when Ino told him at the academy that her father wanted to see him since there was no reason to. Part of him were worried. But still, he went to meet Inoichi right after school ended.
"Um, Yamanaka-san. Why do you want to see me?" Yoshi asked finally after staying silent for awhile.
"Ah, it's nothing serious. I just want to ask you something."
For some reason, there was seriousness in the air even though the Yamanaka was still smiling calmly. Yoshi was getting restless by the seconds but didn't show it as he tried his best to ignore the weird feelings of something bad might happen inside of him.
"And? What is it?" Yoshi asked slowly.
Inoichi Yamanaka was silence for a moment before he spoke.
"Can I take a look inside your mind?"
That question was not the one Yoshi expected. He blinked a few times before glancing to the sides. He may appeared calm on the outside, but his mind was running wild.
'No, no, no, no, no! Look inside my head?! No way, no way! What if he sees my memories of my past life? What if he find out that I know the future? What if- wait. Why does he want to look inside my head in the first place? If I'm recall, this technique had only been used on prisoners in the story. So, why me? What are they trying to figure out?'
"Yoshi?" Inoichi Yamanaka called for Yoshi when he suddenly went quiet.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Um, about the look into my mind thing, can I ask why?"
"As I said earlier, it's nothing serious. I just want to know your state of mind. Iruka was the one who asked me to take a look at you. He was pretty worried after what happened to you." Inoichi said with a smile.
'What happened to me? Does he know? At this point, everyone would already know about that.' Yoshi sighed internally.
"Can I refuse? I don't think I'm comfortable with it." Yoshi said while rubbing his neck, to make a point that he was uncomfortable with the idea.
"It's fine if you're uncomfortable. There are other traditional methods to know one states of mind. My technique is just the fastest way to do it."
"I see."
It was quiet as they stared at each other for the whole minute.
'I get a feeling he don't believe my words, as much as I don't believe his.'
"Well, since there's nothing more to say, you can go on your way now. If you ever need my help, I'll be here."
'I don't need the help, thank you.' The words in his heart were contrary to the ones came out of his mouth.
"I will. Thank you for looking out for me. I appreciate it." Yoshi said with a blank look, not at all feeling grateful, rather stuffy at the attention. Whether Inoichi realized it or not, he chose to ignore it.
After Yoshi left the flower shop, a headache invaded his mind. No, rather than a headache, it was better to call it like something was about to crawl out of his head.
Meanwhile, Inoichi was looking at the back of Yoshi's figure as he walked away, slowly disappearing in the distance.
'He's a tough one for sure. Not sure how I'm going to complete this mission.' Inoichi sighed as he rubbed his neck then went back inside the shop.

Morning rays hit Yoshi on the face as his eyes twitched.
"Ugh..another day, another school." Yoshi said as he wiped his tired face.
"Talking about school, I heard what you did on the first day." A voice from nowhere shocked Yoshi as he turned towards the voice. The voice ended up belong to Kakashi.
Kakashi was sitting on the ledge of the window beside Yoshi's bed.
"What? What are you doing here, Kakashi?" Yoshi asked, almost annoyed.
'It's been months since he made a surprise visit in the morning like this. It was all going so well. I can't have him on my tail more than he already are.' Yoshi said frustratingly and worriedly inside. He had try to make Kakashi forget about himself by not getting into troubles lately. That would give Kakashi no reason to check up on him and his plan had worked for a few months until the end of last year. So, seeing Kakashi now, really made Yoshi worried.
"Oh, just checking up on you. I see you are turning into a brat now." Kakashi said while playing around with his kunai.
"A brat? What do you mean?" At the view of the kunai, Yoshi became fully awake.
"I heard about your shenanigan. Painting Hokage's Stone faces while in school hour? What is it for? For fun?"
I didn't answer him because honestly, he already knew the answer, so it was kinda pointless to answer the question.
"Just to be clear, I knew you did it for fun, but it's really for fun, right?" Kakashi asked the weird but clear question as he gripped his Kunai tightly while looking at me with his dark eye.
Few seconds of silence as I was taken aback by his question.
'It's just a simple question, but by his attitude and the gaze in his eye, I could feel it. He was suspicious of me.'
"Yeah. It's just for fun." Yoshi said blankly.
"Well, you didn't apologise for what you did. That's brave. Considering what you did supposed to be a grave mistake. Better not do it again, or people will start to assume things about you." Kakashi said with a cheery tone.
"Why you questioned me about this but not Naruto? If vandalising the Hokages' Stone faces considered to be a grave mistake, why don't you reprimand him, or yet, punish him?" Yoshi asked with a slight frowned.
"You know, if I didn't know that you are friend with Naruto, I would think that you want him dead." Kakashi said suddenly with an eye smile.
'I do want him gone out of my sight, but not dead.'
Yoshi shook his head and said firmly.
"Anyway, I've got classes. So, I think you should leave. I need to get ready." Yoshi got off his bed and walked out of his bedroom and proceed to head to the bathroom.
"Well, this is the first time he outright kicking me out of his house." Kakashi mumbled, a bit surprised at Yoshi's words. At the end, he still left since he did also had something to do in the morning, just took a little time to check up on Yoshi for personal interest only.

Wind blew back his black hair as he walked through the village. His right hand was holding onto his cloak, trying to prevent it from flying. His bright green eyes looked up at the various stalls and shops, before he stopped in front of a pawn shop.
"So, it's here." He said as he read the sign of the shop.
"I really hope I can see him again."
The words were left in the air as he opened the old creaky door made of wood and walked inside. What he did inside, was unknown to the people around.
