Maris and the others stood on the edge of the portal, the shimmering gateway between the Dragon World and their reality. As they crossed over, a sense of tension began to lift, but not entirely. The real world greeted them with its familiar, serene skies and rolling landscapes, yet the threat of Nyx still loomed large in their minds.
As soon as they stepped into the real world, Maris shot up into the air. Her form blurred as she ascended with tremendous speed, leaving the others momentarily stunned. The wind whipped around her, and once she was high enough, she activated her scan ability. A pulse of light emanated from her, spreading across the entire region, feeling out every corner, every hidden trace of life.
Hey there!
I wanted to let you in on something—I’ve got two potential endings for the novel:
1. Option One: After the final battle, boom, novel ends. Curtain call, thank you, and good night.
2. Option Two: After the final battle, the story keeps rolling to explore some of the loose threads and hints I've already sprinkled throughout.
I’m not dragging things out or throwing in random plot twists. These are things already hinted at earlier, so it would just be continuing that momentum.
So here’s where you come in—what do you think? Which ending would you prefer? If you go with Option One, we wrap up the novel this month. If you go with Option Two, we’ll have a little more fun, and the novel will probably finish next month.
Let me know!
