Wen Chi didn't know how long he had been standing there, his eyes gleaming as he watched her, seeming somewhat desolated.
"You're back," Gu Huanhuan greeted him first.
"Yeah," but upon seeing the chips in her hand, his expression turned sour.
Gu Huanhuan wondered whether she had provoked him today? He had upset her yesterday, and she hadn't even settled the score with him yet.
On the coffee table lay chips, cookies, yogurt, a variety of nuts, and some fruit, arranged rather haphazardly. Gu Huanhuan noticed him eyeing the snacks and thought to herself that he probably became upset seeing these so-called junk foods because, being a doctor, he always paid great attention to his diet.
He usually wouldn't even glance at these snacks. Gu Huanhuan felt like she had been caught red-handed. She waved her hand at him, "Do you want some too, Hubby?"
His face still darkened, and his voice came out somewhat brusque, "Don't eat snacks at night, they're bad for your health."
