"Will? Is that you?", Elian tried catching his voice in the midst of all the noise around them. Yet he could only hear him blubbering, "Uncle Lee", he sobbed, "He is in the hospital, they are say-ying….they can't save him", he cried.
"Will, which hospital is this?", Elian asked. Will responded with the name immediately.
"I'll be right there alright?", he assured him.

Elian decided to take Tristan along with him. The blond billionaire was half drunk and way too tired to deal with this by himself. If sleeping on the floor for two days back to back wasn't enough, he also had to deal with Kian constantly trying to get on his nerves. It would be better to have his Lawyer friend by his side, just in case he's of any use.
Tristan said yes because he didn't have any other plans anyways. He had already canceled his meet up with this sexy latina he had been courting for a while, because his father had insisted that he attends the family dinner at his house. He'll have to wait for one more day before he gets her to ride him like a cowgirl.
Declan snored on the back seat while Tristan drove. He was the least drunk among the three of them. But he definitely was drunk enough to not think about calling a cab.

After the one hour drive to the other end of the city, everyone, even Declan, had sobered up. As the three of them got out of the car, Elian ran towards the hospital in the direction of a huge sign that said ''EMERGENCY' in big red letters. It was past midnight, and the hospital was barely crowded.
As soon as he reached inside, he saw Will sitting on the hospital bench down the long alley. One can tell that he'd been crying for a long time by how red his nose and cheeks were. He got up from his seat, when he saw the alpha walking towards him.
"What happened? Where's-", Elian was going to ask about Kian. But before he could, Will came running towards him and crashed into his arms, weeping on his chest. Elian patted his back, trying to comfort him. But before he could say anything more, the adjacent door clicked open, letting Kian out.
The omega's eyes landed on Elian, who was looking back at him, while holding his younger best friend into his arms. His teary hazel eyes stared into that of alpha's blue ones.
Elian saw the pain, the agitation in those beautiful eyes he was staring into. They were swollen, he probably cried a lot, the alpha wondered. He wanted to comfort them. He wanted to make him feel better. Before he could have loosened himself from Will's hold, the omega made a beeline for the nearest exit.
Will pulled away from Elian, "They can't treat him here, they need to fly him there….this place", he handed in a crumpled pamphlet to the alpha. Before he could look at it, Tristan had already snatched it.
"Oh, this hospital specializes for heart surgeries, but it's like 250 miles from here", he pointed out.
"Yeah, they don't have any air ambulances left! He needs the surgery right now. And we have no way of getting him there!!", Will cried, "Kian's been making phone calls after phone calls but no one's helping. I don't wanna lose him!!", tears gushed from his eyes.
"It's okay Will. I'll get him there", Elian reassured him, "Where is the doctor?", he asked. "He is inside", Will answered, pointing to a certain room.
Elian turned to look at Declan who was standing there, freaking out. A moment ago he was peacefully asleep, on the backseat of a Mercedes, and now he's standing inside a hospital with an omega wailing in front of him.
"Take care of him, me and Tristan will be back in a minute", Elian whispered to him. The brown haired looked blankly at him, as if to ask how to take care of an omega crying like a baby.
But before he could get an answer Elian was already walking away. "Something is wrong. It's impossible that not even a single air ambulance is available", he heard Tristan say, as the lawyer followed Elian.
It was just the two of them now. He awkwardly looked at the little boy who was wearing the same torn jeans as of that day, when he saw him outside the smashed bakery shop. He was wearing a turtleneck gray sweater over it, under an oversized, slightly worn out, black duffle coat. Declan might still be a little drunk to think that he looked kinda cute, with his nose and ears red like a tomato. He looked like a little white rabbit.
"Lets just sit down", he said, bringing the crying omega back to the bench.

Tristan knew it was unusual to recommend a hospital outside the city when there were plenty nearby, especially in case of an emergency. He made some calls, he could easily tell something was up.
The doctor fidgeted in his chair, feeling like he was being interrogated by two alphas. One of them was related to the Ceo of the biggest company in the country and the other was the son of the Mayor. He knew he'd be grilled to death, if he lied anymore, by the way they were looking at him.

"So, apparently, this hospital hasn't contacted any air ambulance services Dr. Müller. So I'm left to assume that you either forgot about it, or you're deliberately trying to delay Mr Henderson's treatment for your other ulterior motives", Tristan questioned, "Are there any personal issues between you and him, or one of those boys sitting out there?".
"NO, no. I don't have any ulterior motives I swear!", the doctor panicked, standing up from his seat, "I'm not behind any of this. I don't even know what this is about. I was just doing whatever was asked of me!!", he rambled. "I contacted the main hospital about shifting the patient. Everything was going smoothly but, as soon as we sent in the patient's information, they stopped responding which isn't usual. So I called them up, and apparently there was some problem in the verification procedure", he paused, "After sometime I got an email asking me to halt further treatment".
"I'm sure that isn't all you got, doctor", Tristan raised his eyebrows, "You were going to let a man die because of a random email?!", he scoffed, "Come clean. How much money did they give you?", he asked.
"T-two million. Directly to my account", the doctor confessed, his voice low.
"Why kind of doctor are you? You take bribes and lie to your patients", Elian scolded, "I should be calling the police right now".
"No, please, no", the doctor pleaded, "Please don't do that, I have a family", he cried.
"Well then listen to us. And no more funny business", Elian demanded, "If that man doesn't stand back on his feet I'll make sure that you won't either", he threatened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Please stop, if you keep crying like that you'll pass out", Declan handed the omega a bottle of water, sitting next to him.
Will took the bottle from his hands and gulped some of it down his dry throat. "You don't understand", he sniffled, "I can't lose him, not right now", he said, "I haven't even gotten married yet, he promised me he'll be at my wedding", he broke into tears again.
"He'll be fine! I promise you, he'll be okay. Elian will take care of it", Declan patted his back, in an attempt to calm him down. But Will was probably not paying attention. His eyes grew wider, more anxious.
"What will happen to the orphanage? Those kids? Kian? Me? I can't even take care of myself, how would I take care of Kian? He'll break. He won't be able to take it", he rambled to himself , as if he didn't know Declan was there.
