章 326: The Library, Part I

Bell looked at himself in a full-length mirror. He was wearing a red turtleneck sweater and padded brown pants with boots of a slightly darker shade. He wore the emblem of the Shikari on his right shoulder.

"Looking good." Celena said, leaning on the wall.

"Oh! You were here?"

"Only for the last few seconds. Must be nice, joining a guild at the age of six with no exams of any kind."

"This guild doesn't normally accept people?"

Celena shook her head. "The Shikari is one of the top guilds in the country, and to live up to that, they always gave new recruits a long written exam, and then a strenuous physical exam. It wasn't easy by any definition. Then here you come, just immediately let into our ranks."

Bell looked back in the mirror, checking himself out. "Well, you're the one who invited me."

"I-I know…" She took a look at Bell. "You don't act your age, you know that?"

"Probably not. I'd rather not be treated like a kid either."

"Of course you wouldn't."
