章 40: Chapter 41: War of Hogsmeade (Part 1)
Charles, " What proposal do you have for us?"
Alexander, " I can heal her but in exchange you would have to join me."
Dorea, " How can we believe you?"
Alexander, " I can swear on my magic."
Charles said in hurried voice," Swear it."
Alexander, " I swear on my magic that I would try my best to heal Dorea Potter, so mote it be."
Charles, " You didn't swear that you would heal her."
Alexander, " Just be satisfied with what you have. Now, my men would transport you. Healing would start after you submit to me."
The Head Unspeakable stepped forward and said, " No one is going anywhere. I have been interested in the happenings here so I ordered my men to stand down for the time being but now it's time that you quitely surrender."
Alexander, " You are the head of unspeakable department of British Ministry of Magic, right. I must say you are much more impressive than your Egyptian counterpart."
The Head Unspeakable suddenly had a bad feeling. The Head Unspeakable of any ministry of magic don't meet with anybody if not specially requested by the Aurors department or the Minister of Magic, then, how did this fellow met with his Egyptian counterpart. The Head Unspeakable asked, " When did you meet him?"
Alexander, " When I took over the Egyptian Ministry of Magic, I first attacked the Department of Mysteries. It was there that I met the head of Egyptian Unspeakables. That fellow was a good duelist and was also unyielding. I offered him a chance to join me but he refused. I had to regretfully kill him. When I went up all the Egyptian Unspeakables alone, they gave me some trouble. Now, I want to see how you guys would perform. Carter!!! Please, make sure that the Aurors and the hit wizards from the ICW don't interfere in this fight."
Saying this, Alexander fired a pulse of magic which blowed away all the wizards surrounding him. Alexander then started flinging spells at all the Unspeakables present. One unspeakable transfigured the rumble into lions and set them on Alexander while another transfigured the rumble into swords and banished them towards him. A third one, casted a sticking charm on his shoes. Alexander then saw another one preparing a runic circle away from the battle field in order to cast a spell. Alexander was excited as the Egyptian one only fired dark curses, soul curses and battle spells at him. Here, he found a bit of variety.
Alexander conjured a slab of stone in the path of swords, raised a wall around the running lions and vanished the ground to which he was struck. Alexander then fired his most powerful patronus blinding everyone present and then fired off the Bombarda spell at every unspeakable present. A few smart ones managed to save themselves but the majority were injured pretty badly. Alexander summoned the injured ones, stunned them and tied them up in the O'Connell style. Alexander had given the method of imprisonment he used in the protagnists of the mummy world this name.
Alexander then turned his attention to the lions and simply vanished them. The runic guy was one of the smart ones. He started drawing the runes again but Alexander simply manipulated the earth to form a spike of earth which destabilised the runic circle and caused an explosion taking out the runic guy and three others, who were tasked with his protection. Alexander then observed the battlefield and saw that the majority of the Unspeakables were down and the ones standing were warily eyeing him. The fight had only started for 2 minutes and they had suffered so many losses. Alexander's men were holding back the Aurors and the hit wizards for now but they were coming in large numbers. Alexander simply ordered 1,000 Magi to shift to his location.
There was a lull in the battle as everyone observed the new arrivals. Alexander's men observed the new arrivals and cheered upon recognising their comrades. The Aurors and hit wizards also contacted their headquarters and asked for backup. Alexander knew that there were 3,000 Aurors and 500 hit wizards in the British Ministry of Magic but did not know anything about the ICW as the hit wizards of ICW were divided in cells. Alexander did not wanted to take any chances, ordered 10,000 Magi to report to his location under concealment charms.
Suddenly, an elf came to his location and reported that the ICW was mobilising all it's forces and also ordering the various ministries to send all the available forces to Hogsmeade and be ready to send more if things go south. Moreover, the Unspeakables were also on standby. Alexander was perplexed by this rapid response and peered into the past to know the reason. The loss of life during the Grindlewald's war had awakened the higher ups of ICW so they behind the back of Dumbledore started building an army to combat such situations. Dumbledore was not told as he had portrayed himself as a pacifist and the higher ups felt that Dumbledore would strongly opposed their decision so they excluded him. The ICW wanted to end the threat posed by Alexander before it fully emerges. Since ICW mainly recruited from the European countries, Alexander did not have any subject in the ranks of hit wizards of the ICW.
Alexander did not knew the numbers of his opposition so he ordered another 50,000 magi under concealment charms to come to him and made the army ready for battle. Once again, the fight stopped and both sides started gearing up for a big fight. Meanwhile, Dumbledore finally came out of his stupor and noticed the people gathering on both sides. Dumbledore frowned in confusion and asked the Auror guarding him, " What is happening here?"
The Auror sighed in relief, " SIR!!! You are awake. Things are not good right now. That Fortis fellow after you fainted, took on all the Unspeakables present alone and defeated them while his men hold back us and the ICW hit wizards. He defeated them all under 5 minutes. We were sending more men to overwhelm his men but he called more men."
Dumbledore, " How many did he call?"
The Auror, " 1,000 men. Well!!! All of them were covered like Unspeakables so we can't tell if there were any women among them or not."
While Dumbledore was talking, more people stated gathering on the ICW's side. Now, it was not individual war but war between ICW and Alexander's forces.
IN THE ICW WAR ROOM:
A witch asked, " Why are we sending so many men after this man?"
The Head of the committee said, " Our spies had managed to get their hands on the report submitted by the Aurors investigating this Alexander fellow. According to that report, this man is possibly the most powerful Magi on this part of the planet. He also has the full support of all the werewolves packs of the Europe so he has the manpower to fight us. I don't want the repeat of the last war so I was planning to finish him off before any thing happens. If you don't have any questions then we will leave in five minutes."
A hooded man thought, " Can it be possible that this man is the reason behind the uneasy feelings and omens that the old ancestors of my clan and powerful Magi of the empire are getting for the past eight months? I will have to investigate this fellow. But first, let's send my report to the higher ups. If I don't survive then at least my sacrifice would be worthwhile. May the East prosper!!!"
The man took out a strange device and send his report. The device glowed lightly after a few minutes and the man let out a sigh of relief, " The higher ups are taking this matter seriously. A team of assassins would be dispatched with orders to kill that fellow if he proves to be dangerous. That's all I am permitted to know because of my rank." The man stood up and moved to leave towards the battle scene.
AT HOGSMEADE:
Alexander was simply waiting for the the forces of ICW to gather when he noticed powerful Magi appearing to the north of the battlefield. At first, Alexander thought them to be Unspeakables with the plans to kill him but all of these guys were more powerful than Dumbledore. There was no Magi in the west who were at present more powerful than Dumbledore in terms of magic except Grindlewald. Alexander was able to sense them only because of his bloodline as it enabled him to sense any presence within a range of 5 kilometers but in higher level worlds, it would not amount to anything. These fellows were concealed quite throughly. Hell!! They were concealed more efficiently than the Unspeakables. Alexander was confused about their identities.
Alexander thought, " Is there any secret magic organization working in Europe? I have captured more than half of the world so I would have known if there was any such thing. The only region I have not even started to investigate is the east. If these guys are from there then, it is quite troubling. I can wage war with them but the losses on both the sides would be immense and that would ultimately weaken me. But if conditions demand then I would wage war. But first, let's escape their monitoring."
Alexander searched a Magi in his rank who had the magical power more than his observers by a slight margin. The Magi in question reported to him under concealment charm and Alexander transfigured him to match his appearance and body shape. Now, it was the time to perform the switch.
Alexander observed the battlefield and thought of a plan to confuse his enemies. Alexander ordered his men to come out of their concealment charms while conjuring white smoke around them. Soon, the whole battle field on the side of Alexander was covered in smoke. Alexander quickly got under the concealment charms and made the Magi stand where he was. Alexander didn't tell anyone about the switch but ordered 200 Magi to gather around his double.
Alexander thought, " Now, the upcoming battle would become very interesting." Alexander then transferred the words Alexander 2.0 would speak after the smoke disappears and then, sat back to enjoy the show.
