Kat was walking around UA since the kids had a day off. Usually, Kat would've just stayed home and a day off, but recently Kat felt like her house was a little empty. Her other big sister was off with the guy she refused to admit she was dating and her mom was at work. So Kat asked to help Aizawa with stuff around the school while he got ready for the training camp. She finished everything and was just exploring the school. That's when she remembered.
"There should be a pool around here..."
Kat was wearing a black skirt with a red top that stopped right above her belly button. She had her hair packed nicely with her kinky curls in a bun. She walked to the door and stopped. She heard voices. There wasn't supposed to be anyone else there. She decided to walk through anyway and check who was there. When she did she saw her entire class around the pool. The girls were playing in the water while the boys were drinking soda. They all looked at Kat.
"Oh… I didn't expect you guys to be here."
Everyone looked kind of awkward. She was the only one who wasn't there. Even Bakugo was there, though he had just arrived. Kat sighed and looked down.
"Hi, Kat… what's up?"
Sero spoke awkwardly. It was obvious they felt bad for not inviting her. She couldn't blame them though. She did distance herself from them because of the sports festival and hadn't tried to make friends. Mostly because she didn't know how.
"Well, I had nothing better to do so I decided to help Mr. Aizawa around the school. "
" Sorry, Kat. Someone should have sent a text and asked if you wanted to join us."
There he went. Kirishima was a genuinely good person. Kat could tell. He wanted to bring everyone in class together and he started that by getting closer to Bakugo first. But getting Bakugo to open up more took a lot of effort which made it harder for him to get to Kat. It really wasn't his fault. It was no one's fault except Kats. Kat scratched her neck and smiled at the group
"No Kirishima. It's on me. I hope you all can forgive me if I come off as closed off. I hope we can all be better friends in the future."
The entire class blushed. Kat might not think so but she was very attractive. In that moment they found her cute. Despite her being taller than most of the guys, she reminded them of a small child. All the girls went up to Kat and gave a group hug. Kat sat in the middle shocked while her face started to heat up.
"AWE KAT! By the end of the year, we will be the best of friends!" Mina said
Kat chuckled. She didn't expect much from that statement. She was alone for most of her life and didn't have the best people skills. Deep down she was hoping that maybe she'll get her first real friends. Wait. First real friend? She remembered someone. Her childhood best friend. She felt a small pain in her chest but brushed it off. As the girls pulled Kat toward the edge of the pool, the boys were getting ready to have a race. Kat watched as the boys used their quirk to pull ahead. In the end, the winners of all three races were Todoroki, Bakugo, and Midoriya. She can't say she wasn't surprised but she wasn't expecting Iida to be that close behind.
"Kat. Who do you think will win this race?"
"I'm not entirely sure."
Kat really didn't know who was stronger at the moment. She knew that when Izuku could use more of the One for All power he would blast by those two. But at the current rate? She didn't know. It would be intriguing to watch. As the fight was about to start everyone was excited. Right before the boys activated their quirks they fell into the pool. Aizawa walked in.
"Kat, did you finish the work I gave you?"
"Yes sir."
"Great. Thank you for your help today. Everyone else goes home. Times up."
As everyone packed up and went home Kat walked by herself. Would she really be able to become friends with her classmates? She kind of wanted to. She didn't want a repeat of middle school. She stopped at the memory. Middle school. What a terrible time for her. She shook her head to try to get rid of the thoughts.
"Stop thinking about it."
She told herself as she continued walking. She was letting her mind wander. She thought of Bakugo, Todoroki, Iida, and Uraraka. Those four have impressive quirks and can utilize them in ways to make them stronger. Then there was Midoriya. All Might's successor. From what she observed, he was incredibly smart. She smirked.
"Well… maybe this training camp will actually be fun."
