Crouching in front of me, he deftly untied my ankles and then walked around to untie my arms. "Let's go," he said, grabbing my elbow to pull me to my feet. "You can use the bathroom, and then I'll feed you."

He led me to the bathroom, and I walked alongside him, too shocked to think about another escape attempt. "Go on," he urged, giving me a push when we got to the bathroom. I stepped inside, deciding not to question my good fortune.
