章 6: Standoff
"So...you think hes gonna show up Fuyumi?"
"I don't know Natsuo." His older sister spoke.
"Is he even awake? Maybe we just need to wake him up."
"No, he's awake. I heard him earlier in his room. I'd have knocked but I didn't want to disturb him. Breakfast also wasn't ready yet so there'd be no point in going in his room." she explained.
"Well breakfast is ready now so we should go and get them." The frost haired boy jumped up and walked towards the door before turning around.
"Hey Touya you comin." Looking back at his redheaded brother who was calmly eating his breakfast.
Touya looked up at his little brother and stepped down from his chair.
"Sure why not it'll give me a chance to meet him"
The two brothers left the dining room and headed toward the direction of Itachi's room, leaving Fuyumi sitting alone.
'I hope those two don't cause any trouble.' The young girl thought to herself.
'Now in the training room'
Rei got up and stood between Endeavor and Itachi.
"Enji you cannot be surprise, you can't spar with him. He's only five years old. In fact both of them are too young to be training, they should be enjoying their childhood!"
"Out of my way woman!" He commanded.
But she didn't move, not an inch. Rei always liked Honami. She so like her brother yet completely different. She always had such confidence in her eyes. And like her brother she had a sense of pride but didn't let that pride influence her negatively.
Rei let out a quite laugh. 'She's ten years younger than me but I'm the one who's learning from her' she though with a smile.
Endeavor clenched his fist and the flames began to burn brighter, causing the room to heat up significantly.
But ice started to form in the opposite side of the room from Endeavor.
Itachi looked back toward Shoto who looked just as confused. Then he looked back at Rei who was in front of Endeavor.
Her smile was gone and replace with a serious face. Frost was emitting from her body
Endeavor began to raise his temperature, however Rei lowered hers to counter act it
'If I don't stop this, they're the one who are going to have a spar.'
"Auntie you need to stop this, I'm the one who's going to fight him."
"You're both just children you shouldn't have to fight anyone!"
'She isn't listening too me. She too focused on on Enji. But more importantly I don't think I'M the one that can get through to her.'
The side of the room with Shoto and Itachi was completely frozen at this point. Their breathe was visible at that point. Shoto looked like he was handling the cold quite well. Itachi how wasn't used to these temperatures and was damn near frozen. She's so focused on Enji, she hadn't noticed she was turning her nephew into a popsicle.
Endeavor's flames were turning the wood around him charcoal black. And the wood a bit further from him began to peer. The opposing powers caused gusts of pressurized wind to push against each other. Winds pushed Itachi back a bit while he resisted the strong winds.
Itachi turned around and looked at the boy who was on his hands and legs trying his hardest to not be blown away. Itachi focused his chakra towards his feet as to not be knocked over and made his way toward his cousin.
"Shoto you need to to stop your mother quickly!"Itachi needed to shout at his cousin. The crackling of the fire and the winds blowing against his ears made it difficult to hear.
"I don't know if I can the wind is too strong!" The boy shouted back
"Don't worry about the winds I can deal with that,but I can't handle the temperature your mother is at. I'd freeze to death." Itachi could more than likely stop them but he didn't want want to hurt anyone. That would only cause problems.
The young Todoroki looked at his cousin with troubled eyes. It was clear he wasn't confident in his abilities. Endeavor would say he was his masterpiece, but he only ever felt like a failure. Like he wasn't good enough. Itachi saw this clear as day.
"Shoto you're strong and you're going to become even stronger in the future.I know you'll become a great hero one day. You're a good and caring person,even if you try your best to hide it I can still see that."
The young Shoto's eyes started to tear up. No body other than if mother ever spoke to him like that. He could see it in his dark eyes, that he was being honest.
"But before you can become a true hero you need to become brave! And the way you can do that is to stop auntie! Can you do that for me?"
Shiro wipes the tears from his eyes and emulated Itachis' serious face. He looked Itachi directly in his eyes with the upmost respect.
"I can do this... you can trust me."
Seeing his determination Itachi nodded at the boy. He moved closer to him so that he could better understand what he was saying then proceeded to explain what they would do.
"Okay are you ready?"the Uchiha asked the Todoroki. "Yeah I'm ready."
Itachi's eyes turn red with two tomoe circling his pupil. Shiro was visibly shocked by this change. His mother only told him about his fire, wind, and water quirk, she said nothing about and eye color changing quirk. He wanted to ask what he did but now wasn't the time.
Right now he had to prove to Itachi and his mother that he was capable. So that they're hope for him wasn't misplaced. But more importantly he needed to prove it to himself most of all.
Itachi swiftly made hand sight for wind and took a deep breath.
Shoto used the flames on his left side. He tried to melt the ice in a straight line that led directly his mother, but the ice quickly extinguished the fire as well as refreezing the melted ice he made.
'Right then we'll do plan B.' The Todoroki thought to himself as he used the ice on his right side to made an ice ramp.
He braces himself then turned and gave a nod toward Itachi. Who then release the wind, which was visible due to the temperature, and launched the boy into the air.
Unfortunately, Shoto was overshot. Instead of heading toward his mother like planned, he was now heading right in between his two parents.

MiniZetzu Surprise I’m back! Unfortunately school is back in session and had thrown my schedule out of wack. But now that I’m more comfortable with how things are. I can now get back into this.
A chapter, occasionally more, will be coming out every Monday. This chapter was meant to come out Monday as well buuttt i wanted you too know asap.
Also I’ve got chapters stocked up so you won’t have to worry about me leaving and now releasing a chapter. Well... at least for a while.
