章 2: Chapter 2

What I caught was an eyeful.

There was a stallion on the padded area with the hose set-up. Tied on both sides of his head but he tried to rear up, front legs pawing at the air. He bellowed and I’ve never heard a sound like that—deeper than a regular whinny—more of a groaning. The way people might groan in bed.

A groom tried to lead another horse away but this one was worked up, too. Bouncing around on its feet, tossing its head, jerking the groom around.

Jimmy stalked out to us, red-faced. “Get that mare outta here, asshole! What are you thinking, walking her by the stallion barn?”

“Sorry.” The groom tugged at the mare but she was having none of it. She eyed the stallion and sure enough, he raised himself up again to show off what he’s got for her—a two-footer thrusting up from his belly. Pink and wet.
