章 7: Chapter 7: Flaxen Invasion

Hi guys, welcome to chapter 7. If you haven't already checked out my other story, it's already posted with my second chapter out. So, I have decided that my MC will not change over towards the side of Earth (yay), and I will have my MC slightly soften but not by much since Earth kind of changes you.

As Beerus soared through the skies, his keen senses caught wind of a disturbance below. Descending gracefully, he found himself in the midst of a bustling city, where the Teen Team, a relatively famous hero group, were engaged in a heated altercation.

At the center of the conflict stood Rex Splode, his volatile temper evident as he exchanged heated words with his teammates. The imposing figure observed the scene with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension, his presence drawing the attention of the young heroes.

"Who the fuck is this guy?" Rex exclaimed, his voice dripping with defiance as he eyed the larger man with skepticism.

The significantly more imposing figure regarded Rex with an air of cool detachment, his gaze unwavering. "I am Atlas," he replied calmly, his voice carrying a distinct hint of authority.

Rex Splode's eyes narrowed, a glint of arrogance flashing across his face as he attempted to square off against the imposing Viltrumite. "Well, 'Atlas'," he sneered, his tone dripping with hostility, "we don't need no one butting in our business, so fuck off."

Before Beerus could respond, Eve and Robot stepped forward, their expressions betraying a sense of concern. "Rex, calm down," Eve urged, her voice soft but firm as she attempted to defuse the tension.

Robot nodded in agreement, his mechanical features displaying a rare hint of empathy. "We don't want any trouble," he added, his tone measured as he addressed the tall .

Beerus regarded Eve and Robot with a nod of acknowledgment, appreciating their efforts to diffuse the situation. Despite his reservations, he respected their commitment to peace and cooperation. However, Rex's disrespectful tone grated on him, and he felt compelled to impart a lesson in humility.

With lightning speed, Atlas surged forward, catching Rex off guard before the rest of the team could react. Gripping him firmly by the neck, he shot into the air, Rex's eyes widening in terror as the ground vanished beneath them. The rest of the Teen Team watched in stunned silence, unable to comprehend the swiftness of Atlas's movements. "What just happened?" Dupli-Kate asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.

Screaming like a banshee, Rex Splode's cries echoed in the vastness of the sky, his voice a stark contrast to the serene silence of the upper atmosphere. Despite his desperate protests, Atlas paid no heed to the boy's futile attempts to plead for mercy, his grip unyielding as they ascended higher and higher into the stratosphere.

As they reached the edge of the atmosphere, approximately 19,500 feet above the ground (AN: 5.9 km for you metric folk), Rex's screams dwindled into gasps as the thin air left him struggling for breath. His panic-stricken expression spoke volumes, his eyes wide with fear as he struggled to comprehend the gravity of his predicament. The vast expanse of space stretched out beneath them, a silent witness to the unfolding drama between the Viltrumite and the impudent teenager.

With each passing moment, the lack of oxygen began to take its toll on Rex, his frantic panting the only sound amidst the eerie stillness of the upper atmosphere. The realization of his helplessness washed over him like a tidal wave, leaving him gasping for air as he struggled to come to terms with the dire consequences of his actions.

Atlas regarded the gasping boy with a cold stare, his expression devoid of mercy as he brought their faces close together. "Listen closely, boy," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "If you ever dare to show me such disrespect again, you'll find yourself facing consequences far beyond your imagination. Understand?"

Rex nodded frantically, his breath coming in ragged gasps as fear gripped his heart. "Y-Yes, please, I-I understand," he stammered, his voice trembling with terror.

A cruel smirk played across Atlas's lips as he relished the boy's fear. "Good," he replied, his tone icy and measured. "Consider yourself warned."

With a swift motion, Atlas released his grip on Rex, watching with grim satisfaction as the boy plummeted helplessly towards the ground below. Rex's panicked screams echoed through the empty expanse of air, a chilling reminder of the consequences of crossing paths with the formidable Viltrumite.

As Rex's cries faded into the distance, Atlas flew calmly past him. Hopefully, with each passing moment, the memory of their encounter would serve as a stark reminder of the price of disrespecting a being of such formidable power.

The Teen Team stood frozen in shock as they watched Rex hurtling towards the ground at terrifying speed. Panic gripped their hearts as they frantically searched for a way to save their teammate. However, before they could act, a blur of motion streaked past them, snatching Rex by the back of his collar in a swift and decisive motion.

Rex's screams filled the air as he was abruptly halted from his free fall, the sudden change in velocity causing his stomach to churn uncomfortably. The rest of the Teen Team recoiled slightly, a mixture of disgust and understanding evident in their expressions as they witnessed the ordeal their teammate endured.

With a grim expression, Atlas held Rex firmly by the collar, his gaze piercing and unwavering. "Keep the boy in line," he commanded, his voice carrying the weight of undeniable authority, "or next time, I won't be so gentle."

With a final glance at the Teen Team, Atlas rose into the air, leaving the young heroes to ponder his words. As Atom Eve used her pink constructs to catch Rex and lower him safely to the ground, the Teen Team exchanged uneasy glances, the gravity of Atlas's words weighing heavily upon them and were grateful for the somewhat peaceful resolution of the confrontation.

*Scene Break*

Beerus slowly descended into Grayson's backyard and walked into the house. He found Debbie on her laptop typing away. Debbie Grayson glanced over at the much taller male, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern as they sat together in the living room. "So, Beerus," she began, her voice tentative, "how's Mark adjusting to life as a hero?"

Beerus regarded her with a stoic expression, his Viltrumite heritage evident in the stern set of his features. "Mark shows promise," he replied evenly, his voice carrying a sense of measured confidence. "He has the potential to be a formidable hero, but he still has much to learn."

Debbie nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I'm glad to hear that," she said softly, her gaze drifting to the window where the suburban skyline stretched out before them. "It's not easy being a hero like his father, but I know Mark has what it takes."

Turning back to Beerus, she couldn't help but be curious about his own experiences. "And what about you, Beerus?" she asked, her tone gentle. "How are you adjusting to life here on Earth?"

Beerus paused for a moment, his expression unreadable as he considered her question. "Life on Earth has its challenges," he admitted finally, his voice tinged with a hint of detachment. "But I am adapting."

Debbie studied him for a moment, sensing the underlying complexity of his response. Despite his stoic demeanor, she could see glimpses of the warrior within him, shaped by a lifetime of training and discipline, much like her husband. "Well, if you ever need anything," she said earnestly, "you know you can always count on us."

Beerus nodded, a flicker of appreciation crossing his features before he returned to his usual stoic demeanor. "Thank you, Debbie," he said quietly, his voice carrying a note of respect. "I will keep that in mind."

*Couple of Days later*

Mark and Eve hurried out of their high school, their backpacks slung over their shoulders as they chatted worriedly about the invasion that was awaiting them. Unbeknownst to them, Beerus observed from a distance, his curiosity piqued by their hurried demeanor.

With silent movement through the air, Beerus trailed behind them, his movements graceful and effortless as he effortlessly kept pace with the energetic teenagers. Despite his imposing stature, his presence went unnoticed by Mark and Eve.

As they reached a vantage point overlooking the Chicago city skyline, Mark and Eve paused, their attention captured by the sight unfolding before them. Beerus lingered above them, his gaze fixed on the city as he witnessed the aliens come out of a portal and slaughter the humans.

The sound of explosions filled the air, followed by the sight of alien tanks and troops descending upon the city. Mark and Eve exchanged panicked glances, their expressions mirroring the growing chaos unfolding before them.

Without hesitation, Mark, his eyes blazing with determination as he flew into action. Eve followed suit, her pink constructs materializing around her as she prepared to join the fray.

From his vantage point above the city, Beerus watched with a mixture of boredom and curiosity as the Flaxen invasion began. Despite the chaos and destruction unfolding below, he remained stoic and composed, his mind already formulating a plan of action.

With a silent resolve, Beerus prepared to join the battle, knowing that his strength and experience would be needed in the fight to come as he watched Teen Team and his "cousin" struggle against the green aliens.

Amidst the chaos of the Flaxen invasion, Mark and the Teen Team found themselves locked in a fierce battle against the relentless alien horde. The streets of Chicago were a battleground, littered with debris and echoing with the sounds of combat. Buildings crumbled under the onslaught of alien weaponry, and screams echoed through the air as civilians fled in terror.

The Flaxans were overwhelming the young heroes, their relentless assault pushing the teens to their limits. Mark fought valiantly alongside his teammates, his fists and powers striking out against the invading horde with unwavering resolve. But for every enemy they defeated, two more seemed to take its place, their numbers seemingly endless. Mark was beaten and bloodied with the rest of the heroes struggling to repel the aliens. The air crackled with energy as explosions rocked the city, and the ground trembled beneath their feet with each devastating blow.

A sigh left Beerus as he watched the younger Viltrunmite and the Teen Team struggle to hold their ground, he saw Mark slightly hyperventilating from all the carnage and his own pain when he decided to take action. With a thunderous speed, he descended from the sky, a blur of black and gold streaking through the sky with unmatched speed and precision. His eyes blazed with slight bloodlust as he surveyed the battlefield, his gaze settling on the relieved teenagers below.

Without hesitation, Beerus sprang into action, his movements a blur of speed and precision as he unleashed a devastating barrage of attacks against the Flaxen invaders. With each strike, he shattered their ranks, his fists like thunderbolts as they rained down upon the alien horde.

The Flaxans, taken aback by the sudden appearance of this new threat, redoubled their efforts and tried to shoot the Viltrumite down, but Beerus was too relentless and fast for their eyes to process. With each blow, he carved a path of destruction through their ranks, his ferocity unmatched as he single-handedly turned the tide of battle. Little did they know that it was about 25% of his true strength.

With a single sweeping motion, Beerus unleashed a torrent of devastating attacks upon the Flaxens, his fists and powers cutting through their ranks like a scythe through wheat. The air was filled with the sound of bones breaking and metal twisting as the Flaxen warriors fell before his might, their screams of agony drowned out by the roar of battle. Blood was everywhere as bodies and limbs of civilians and Flaxans alike filled the streets of Chicago.

Mark and the Teen Team watched in awe as Beerus single-handedly turned the tide of battle, his prowess and strength leaving them speechless. With each strike, he carved a path of destruction through the enemy forces, his movements a deadly dance of death and destruction. Despite the carnage unfolding before them, a glimmer of hope ignited within the hearts of the young heroes as they witnessed the true extent of Beerus's power. With renewed determination, they rallied to his side, their combined efforts forced the Flaxans back.

As the alien invaders began their rapid retreat, driven back by the overwhelming might of the Viltrumite and their accelerated aging, portals closed as a tense silence settled over the blood-soaked streets of Chicago. The heroes and Beerus stood amidst the wreckage, their faces grim and weary from the fierce battle that had just unfolded.

Rex, ever the outspoken one, couldn't resist the urge to voice his frustration. "Oh, for fuck's sake, this asshole again! We had that, ya know," he grumbled, his tone tinged with bitterness.

Atlas turned his gaze towards the young hero, his eyes narrowing with a silent warning. Rex fell silent immediately, a shiver running down his spine as he remembered the terrifying experience of being lifted off the ground by the formidable Viltrumite.

"Did I miss something, Bee—uh, I mean Atlas?" Mark asked, his confusion evident in his voice.

Atlas turned to look at Mark, his expression stoic as ever. "This boy angered me, so I taught him a lesson in humility," he replied calmly, his gaze lingering on Rex. "I believe he threw up that time." There was a hint of amusement in his tone, but his demeanor remained serious, betraying none of the emotions beneath the surface.

With a snort of derision, Atlas turned away from the trembling hero as the Teen Team exchanged uneasy glances once more, his attention shifting to the devastated cityscape before him. The sight of the destruction served as a stark reminder of the cost of war, and the toll it took on both heroes and civilians alike. Not that it mattered much to him, but he understood that the rest were young and lived coddled lives.

Soldiers flooded the streets, their presence a reassuring sign of order amidst the chaos. They swiftly cleared pathways for the medics, allowing them to tend to the injured civilians scattered across the city. Meanwhile, others began to gather the scattered remnants of alien technology and dead bodies, their movements purposeful as they prepared to transport it for further study.

Invincible and the Teen Team joined in the efforts, lending their strength to the cleanup and rescue operations. With tireless determination, they assisted the soldiers in securing the area and ensuring the safety of those in need. Amidst the commotion, Atlas observed from above, his gaze sweeping over the scene below with detachment.

As the city slowly began to regain its semblance of normalcy, Atlas remained vigilant, his watchful eyes scanning the horizon for any signs of further threats. Though he refrained from actively participating in the cleanup efforts, his presence alone served as a silent reminder of the formidable power at their disposal.
