章 73: I AM ATOMIC

Cassius was slightly shocked that he and Lilith were able to cut off the Tyrant King's tail, as he was originally just hoping to cut off its circulation and stop the beam from going off.

'Is its tail a weak spot?' This thought urged him to concentrate his attacks on the rest of the tail. This was not only to deal more damage to the monster but also to cloud its mind.

And just as he wished, the Tyrant King bellowed out in fury, sending out dozens of furious slashes with its draconic mole claw! Each slash, from Cassius's perspective, appeared like massive objects of golden fiery destruction blanketing the earth in their rage!

Cassius, in response, effortlessly teleported between each strike, with his range of movement far exceeding that of the wyrm itself. He chuckled at this thought before zooming upward.

From above the infuriated Tyrant King, Cassius raised Lilith into the air, then began to accumulate power. Tendrils of scarlet energy swirled above the numerous edges of the terrifying blade, with each tendril wrapping around the others and condensing into stronger forms.

If there were more time, he could amass a truly powerful single-strike attack, but since that was not the case, he once again opted for plan B.

OOOM!!

The air above and around the enormous Tyrant King violently trembled. Even the Sand Devourers that had just arrived on the scene felt the awful chaotic power pressing down on them, quaking every fiber of their beings. They wanted to rush up and devour the lone human, but for some reason, they could not.

"I learned something very interesting as of late." Cassius spoke up in a crisp, glitchy voice, with the power gathering above his head reaching higher levels of arcane insanity. "Though the entity that helped me receive so much power is a complete and utter douchebag, it at least provides me with pleasant surprises every now and then."

The Tyrant King didn't know what the human was talking about, but if it was foolish enough to arrogantly hover above its irresistibly powerful form, then it would devour him whole!

It immediately flipped upward and jarred its yawning mouth wide enough to fit multiple skyscrapers! The human would not survive this attack, as it put all its strength and speed into it!

Cassius merely smirked.

His nonchalant figure faded in and out of reality. He flared the scarlet energy to even greater levels, blasting the Tyrant King back down to the ground, crushing it hundreds of meters into the earth.

Continuing where he left off, Cassius said calmly, "One of those pleasant surprises came just before you and your goon squadron arrived. And it wasn't until just a second ago that I had the time to look over my notifications."

An invisible force tugged at the edges of his smirk, making it most prominent through his shadowy hood. "One of those very notifications informed me of a system feature that I received for reaching Level 50, also making it the latent Idle Benefit that the douchebag had been teasing me with in secret."

"As what it does… It's a feature that allows me to… combine Skills!"

Just like his Item Crafting System feature, if he smashed together two Skills, he would receive a Skill that extracted the best aspects of each Skill to create something vastly superior. And after careful consideration, Cassius chose to go big or go home and combined his Bloodfire Skill with a C-Rank Skill called 'Supreme Single Strike,' then took things a step further and combined the created Skill with the C+ 'I AM SPEED.'

The result of smashing together these three different Skills in quick succession was the creation of an unbelievably powerful Transitional Skill:

As the name suggested, it was a Skill of the B- Rank, best suited for mass destruction. Somehow, the addition of the Bloodfire Skill mutated what should've been a single-target speed-related Skill. Now, the resulting Skill was not only capable of exponentially amplifying Cassius's speed as long as his Agility stat was far higher than his other stats, but it was also capable of transforming that effect into something damage-related. Specifically, it did:

[Effect 1 'Divided Between Two':]

(As one who yearns to be the fastest in existence, you have to be fast. But being fast is not enough, is it? (Temporarily convert all of your Agility stat into the 'Atomic' stat, which only activates when this Skill is being used. You will not be able to move most of your body while using the Atomic stat, but the limits of your destructive capabilities reach no bounds as long as your Agility stat is high enough.)

[Effect 2 'Going Atomic':]

(Have you ever wondered what it was like facing an atomic explosion head-on? Something as powerful as that could not possibly be withstood by any normal living being! Therefore, the solution is to become the atomic explosion yourself! (500% Increased Destructive damage.)

[Effect 3 'All or Nothing':]

(This Skill will bleed you dry, completely depleting your energy reserves. There is no middle ground, so if you use this Skill, be prepared to turn into a shriveled mummy afterwards.)

{[500% Increased Radiation Damage]}

I AM ATOMIC retained all the benefits that 'I AM SPEED' provided, but simply improved upon the Skill's faults. If before it was extremely difficult to deal any real damage without hitting the same spot on an enemy thousands of times, then now things were about to become overkill.

Streaks of crimson energy gradually changed into a darker shade of violet before spreading out around Cassius's stagnated figure. The Tyrant King, who was still trying to fly up and devour the stationary human, was pressured under a power dozens of times greater than what it had felt just a second earlier.

BOOM!!!

The Tyrant King collapsed into the earth.

It struggled with all its might to resist the immeasurable pressure emanating from those cryptic purple streaks, yet failed terribly. Its hideous mouth crashed into the ground, eating tens of thousands of pounds of dirt, in no way receiving the tasty smack it was expecting.
