Sylvie
I woke up with a piercing headache. The bright lights in the room were blinding, and the sharp pain in my abdomen reminded me why I was currently lying in a hospital bed. I had been stabbed, and had miraculously survived. A feeling of relief washed through my body, but was almost immediately overwhelmed by the pain all over my body.
"Don't move too much, Ms Mulberry, your wounds are not closed yet." A female voice advised. I never even realized there was a figure towering over me until she spoke. I had been too focused on the pain and surviving my attack that I had completely ignored her presence. She had a pretty face, and her smile brought a feeling of lightness to my body.
