I wanted to take her words for it, but at this point doing so would mean denying the obvious. Sylvia clearly still had feelings for Antonio, and currently, it was beginning to feel like I was her second choice. Perhaps I had made a mistake with Sylvia, maybe she was just like the other girls. I didn't want to believe that, but she was leaving me little choice at the moment.
A sigh of exhaustion broke past my lips as I reasoned everything. Maybe I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, should I give her a chance to explain herself? I questioned myself as I paced round the room. I didn't want to let her go, especially not over a kiss. I loved Sylvia, and losing her would break me more than I could ever imagine.
