Tondae turned and squeezed my hands tightly, her eyes filled with concern. “Stay here, Lycia. I’ll send word as soon as I can.” Then she swept out the door and was gone.

I remained frozen, almost afraid to move lest this fragile hope shatter. Logan was alive. He had made it through the battle against the Shadowcrest Warriors Pack… my old Pack. But at what cost? Was Marshall going to live? Logan would never forgive himself if anything happened to his brother under his watch.
