After Lycia and I had eaten our fill and she was sleeping soundly in the bedroom of our suite, I headed out. Two guards I had called for were standing outside our door.
“Do not more from your post in my absence,” I instructed. “Princess Lycia is to be protected at all costs.”
“Yes, My Prince,” they both said in unison as I walked past.
Not wanting to wait for the elevator, I dashed down the stairwell and headed straight to my father’s office, knowing he would be waiting for me. I had to discuss the attacks with him, but didn’t want to worry Lycia.
Knock, knock, knock!
“Come in, Logan!” Father’s voice resonated from the other side.
I smirked. Nothing much got past him. “How did you know it was me?” I asked, closing the door behind me.
