“Now,” the beast continued, leading me into my suite. “We will be married as soon as possible in a private ceremony, and you will move into my suite. We can expand my suite into this one and have plenty of room for the baby.”
“Over my dead body!” I scoffed. “Just because I spent one night with you, you think I’m going to marry you?”
He looked at me as if I had lost my mind. “Yes.”
I rolled my eyes. “What about romance?”
“Overrated.”
“Not in my book!”
My inner wolf was purring at his dominance, wanting his wolf to take her now. I told her internally to be quiet and to let me handle it. She whimpered, sulking in the corner of our shared mind.
He threw up his arms, rolling his eyes. “So, what would you have me do? I will give you anything you want. Just say the word.”
I let out a deep breath, gazing into his eyes. “I want what every woman wants: romance, candlelit dinners, an engagement ring... romance. I want you to love me.”
