レビューを書くA rare book about the actual cultivation journey of a person that feels reasonable. No plot armour or unnecessary conflict and lucky escapes.
this is more like a slice of life- laid back story about MC, no rush, flowing like water that easily followed. MC is down to earth, development of story moving in steady pace. it's a good story 👍
I am a fan of cultivation novels and this novel is definitely readable. even though it's not the best still enough to pass time so give it a try.
Interesting story, a hidden gem.. although it's slow-paced story, you'll never regret reading this
Starts strong with a reasonable protagonist and setting. He’s not getting everything handed to him and he’s not a reckless fool. However, in the end of the second volume and the beginning of the third, i.e. around chapter 300, he starts getting everything. Even stuff he didn’t know he wanted. I’m ok with that every so often but for the next 100 chapters he becomes completely passive yet grows faster than ever. It seems to me the author couldn’t come up with a good reason for the protagonist to grow so they had to take away their autonomy to get anywhere. Not to mention the path they’re taking to get the power is completely different than anything before. Also the relatively reserved cautious protagonist suddenly joins an established group way to quickly. Suddenly becoming life and death friends in just a couple of days.
After the 300th chapter, the realism decreases and the level of the novel drops. In general, it begins to describe illogical situations, fabricated without much thought. When you're in the harsh world of cultivation, it doesn't make sense to share secrets with near-strangers, pursue adventures that only bring you risks, and radically change your behavior from the initial chapters. Giving away what level alchemist you are puts you in a situation where they can kidnap you to use your talent, showing wealth that is beyond your level is also not recommended.
It has good potential, a cohesive and very fluid story, which doesn't give the impression that the author is pushing the protagonist. It's worth reading.
When I started reading this story, it was on a whim, I honestly didn't think it would be interesting, but because I didn't have anything else to read so I decided to give it a shot, so I did, and honestly I've enjoyed reading this story, and I can't wait for more. Keep up the good work
I am losing interest because of the new system features 😕😕😔. It could be a great novel with only the space not the system or the alchemy stuff.
It's a laid-back story with a system that's not going to destroy the world's power system (at least until chapter 32) and has quite a bit of potential
***Review after reading through half the novel*** So here’s another one. In simple words, it’s alright. There isn’t anything great. MC for most of the novel isn’t anything great. I mean yes, he’s strong and leapfrogs during fights, but there is nothing captivating as such. He’s an alchemist. Unlike other alchemists, he’s an all-rounder. But also like other alchemists, he has no other skills. It’s truly weird. Like he has a very OP Body Refining cultivation technique, but all he can do is land plain ordinary punches. He has no techniques that can compliment it. He has a well balanced and strong Five Elements cultivation technique, which has its origins during Ancient Era. The creator of the technique also used it to become an immortal. Everyone after him also had significant achievements, and are famous throughout the world. Yet, the MC has no techniques or skills he can use in pair with it to display his actual strength. He does however have another Five Elements skill/technique (not sure what exactly), which create five coloured lights and he can send them into others body, and then immobilise them. But it doesn’t do much to those with strong cultivation, which by the way constitutes to a lot of people that MC faces. Almost it can be used as a disruption. Apart from this, he has a sword skill, for sneak attacks. Yes, the MC who practices Five Elements Qi cultivation, Body Refining cultivation AND Divine sense cultivation simultaneously, has his only skill as a sneak attack skill that works at best again those within the same realm. News flash! He is anyway invincible in the same realm! He has the most underwhelming fights while being so incredibly strong. Phew! Anyway, apart from this… I guess you could say that the progress of the story is a bit bland. Everything is pretty conveniently handed to him. The place he stayed at in the beginning is attacked by beasts, and in the chaos, some human stepping stone is killed by MCs friend. UNSURPRISINGLY, this stepping stone has a very high grade sword, which is odd as he is a body and it’s the “novice area”. Also UNSURPRISINGLY, this friend gives the sword as a gift to the MC. This sword is a flawless sword which can become invisible and can be used to sneak attack. But is only against those within the same realm. UNSURPRISINGLY, a year or so later, in an auction he finds a technique which can be paired PERFECTLY with this sword, so much so that if paired with other swords, it’s not gonna work. So he gets it, but it’s incomplete. UNSURPRISINGLY, a few years later when the technique and sword is becoming unless to his realm, he finds the remains of the person who actually created the technique, and hence completely it, and also finds a broken sword and additional materials with the persons remains, which can be used to upgrade the sword to a very high level. This is just the instance with the sword skill. This is the case with all his skills. This is the first MC I have seen that never had to give up a cultivation technique or skill ‘coz they outlived their purpose. He’s just conveniently handed the means to keep cultivating the techniques he started on day one! Never having to give up and cultivate something else or something better. At the end of the day, it kills time. And its not bad in that regard. So try it if you have nothing else. It’s pretty short sized novel as well. About 400+ chapters.
ネタバレを明かすFirst time writing a review…. This book was genuinely enjoyable to read and had me captivated throughout most of the story. There are many great plot twists and very good strategies that the MC comes up with. I felt the MC was pretty consistent throughout the book. The MC was written very well and felt he was a realistic MC instead of being overly dumb or OP. My only issue with the book is that the translation very often in the later chapters started to mix up names and interchanging the “he” and “she” for characters that were clearly stated to male or female earlier in the story. Even with that I still enjoyed the book and wish it could continue, but knowing it’s done I’m satisfied with the story. Thank you to the author for the effort put forth in this book and the consistency shown throughout this book. Whether it was the time between releases or the storyline it was all consistent. I look forward to reading future projects from this author!
Writing as of chapter 25, story is engaging enough to make time investment worthwhile. So far it’s very much a slice of life story that has introduced some interesting characters and looking forward to seeing more of the storylines. Would recommend reading it at this point.
i didnt like it. too much effort to never make mc suffer loss or setback in true sense. if mc sat below coconut tree, then coconut will fall, head will break but what do you know its super rare type fruit and it refines body type situation
Slow paced story. The system mc has is different from the usual allowing him to go into a cultivation space where he can farm and do alchemy. Overall I think it is pretty good and the rules governing it are decent as well. Mc is pretty cautious and makes pretty good choices. Now back to the fact that it is a slow paced story. Mc cultivation talent is poor even after enhancing it. Synopsis pretty misleading in that it made it sound like mc would be op but he’s not. He is good at alchemy and later he is invincible in the same small realm or a few above. Overall I enjoy the story it is pretty decently written even if translation isn’t the best.
It started well but went downhill, I read up to chapter 300... but from chapter 70 onwards the system stopped being important
[Ratings are based off trial read standard] So ive read up to the start of payed chapters and honestly, for a trail read, this novel isnt that bad. The worldbuilding isnt very fleshed out if you are new to the genre but if you are enough is explained to not be totally confused. The system is also done pretty well with a lot of hard work and commitment needed for development , although it seems the alchemy cheat is a bit much with the context we have been given about the difficulty of pill refining in this world. The first few chapters obviously have the villian who bullies the mc, but the reason is clearly explained and is justifiable with the setting and is, i believe, temporarily relieved early on to start the actual story. Future Female MC has been introduced yet the description so far is vague but her character is slowly being drawn out and is quite respected and an actual character instead of 'ivory skin and peachy lips with cloths that barely cover her'. Also the daugher is really cute so far and isnt annoying which they sometimes can be unintentionally. Especially if she is taught the skills of her Mother and the MC, she could become a really good character in future chapters/arcs. Thank you for reading, im not ue to doing reviews but wanting to write more for trial reads up to the paywall.
