I turn toward the ruckus. My brows furrow. He wasn't in his bed. I push the covers down and walk to the other side of his bed. He was lying face flat on the carpet floor. He was still like a statue. I dash toward him and touched his back. He was undeniably cold. I turn him to face the ceiling. My chest tightens. He was pale like a dove.

"Caleb?" I shook him. "Caleb?!" I shouted in his ear. But he didn't flinch nor move.

I checked his pulse as my hand trembles in fear. It was weak. Well I sort of think it is.
