Allen's POV
After what felt like an eternity but was really just about ten seconds, Mary Jane pulled away from me. I could still feel the sensation of her ample chest against me. An important question occurred to me: why does my world seem like it was created by an H manga artist?
System?
[I'm not sure you want to know the answer, Allen. Why not just let it go?]
The tone of my system seemed to carry a hint of mockery. Don't get me wrong; I'm not complaining, but it's easier to receive a hug from a woman who doesn't have a D-cup... E-cup?!.
There's one more thing to mention: oddly, the clothing seems to hide the real size of women in this world, making them appear less developed.
"Jane, would you like something to eat?" Using the last of my willpower, I decided to put an end to this here, or I might end up doing something I'd regret.
"I..." Mary Jane was about to refuse, but her stomach growled. "I'm sorry..."
Her red cheeks and teary eyes implied that she came to my room for more than just a meal.
I'm not foolish; I know everyone would expect something to happen between us after the emotional moment we shared. But a part of me feels it would be taking advantage of a woman at her most vulnerable moment.
First, I need to find out what happened in MJ's life and see what I can do.
"Listen, I've told you many times during my livestreams that I'm not short on money," I put on a mocking smile before giving her a pat on the shoulder. "Don't worry about it; eat until you're as full as Mrs. Claus."
"What?!" MJ was annoyed. I just stepped on a landmine; weight is a sensitive topic for women, but it was necessary to snap her out of her mood.
What I didn't expect was for Mary Jane to start chasing me around. For crying out loud, we're eighteen years old, or so I thought, but at some point, I started to enjoy the game.
Sometimes I regret not being more social as a kid...
...
After about ten minutes, we ended up in the living room. There were cushions strewn all over the floor, and a few pieces of furniture knocked over. Ha, she's really competitive.
"Ah~ ah~," MJ panted from exhaustion as she sat on the floor. "How can you be so sneaky?! You jumped over the table and through the furniture! Aren't you afraid of breaking something?"
I smiled as I sat next to an open window. "One of the advantages of being a man who lives alone is excessive freedom, haha." I laughed arrogantly as I walked toward the redhead. I extended a hand to help her get up.
"Hmph," she pouted and crossed her arms, refusing to get up. "Don't complain later, Allen."
I shrugged and picked up the pouting girl. She let out a cute scream of surprise.
"Wait, what are you doing?!" She clung to my neck out of fear, and our eyes met at close range.
"Come on, MJ, don't be mad. Everything has its pros and cons. Just as I have a lot of freedom, I also have a lot of responsibility. Nothing fixes, cleans, or pays for itself. It all depends on me." I walked with her, carrying her like a princess, toward the dining table. MJ remained silent for a moment as she buried her face in my chest to hide.
"It's like a distant dream for me... to live a life like this," the girl murmured.
I sighed and put MJ in a chair. Then, I gave her a pat on the head. "Put your worries aside for today, Jane... Let's eat my lady."
"There are few things that make me as proud as my cooking. I have years of experience, so expect a little and have high expectations.," I put on an apron and went to the kitchen. Well, it was already prepared; I just needed to heat it up, but I didn't want to dirty my clothes.
This time, MJ looked at me with a teasing smile. "Are you sure? When you boasted about your cooking before, it didn't sound like it was real."
I stopped and turned to her, annoyed. "Oh? Do you think I live on instant food and takeout?"
"Yes," she responded confidently, nodding.
"That's offensive, MJ!" I got worked up and left the stew aside; I was going to prepare something on the spot to redeem my honor.
I put on my best apron, a black one that I imported from Japan; it had the kanji for "will" printed on the front. Then, I looked at the kitchen while focusing my energies and chakras.
Mary Jane stopped smiling and remained silent, watching me from the dining area.
The knife is sharp.
I checked the quality of the ingredients.
Everything's perfect!...
A necessary skill you need to learn if you want to live alone is cooking. It doesn't matter if you have talent or not; after years of doing it, you'll become good at it.
...
Half an hour later, MJ was devouring the food at the table as if she hadn't eaten in days. My mission was complete.
"Well, how is it?" I asked, looking serious, standing with my arms crossed next to her.
Mary Jane stopped eating, got up, and looked at me apologetically. "I'm sorry; your food is amazing, Master." MJ bowed to me.
"Good! Now let's eat," I said with a smile and sat down next to her. As we ate, I glanced at MJ a couple of times, and she did the same. I don't usually eat with someone unless my aunt is here. For some reason, the food tasted better.
Later, I prepared an empty room for her. I haven't mentioned this yet, but my apartment is enormous. It has five bedrooms, a study, a kitchen connected to a small dining room, a bathroom with a large tub, and a storage room. Practically, the entire fifth floor of the building belongs to me.
Space isn't an issue when it comes to having MJ here. But I forgot one detail: she doesn't have any sleepwear.
"I'll sleep naked," the girl said casually. The images of a beautiful girl's fair and rosy skin sleeping made me choke on my coffee.
MJ noticed her mistake and covered her face, which was now as red as a tomato. "Not that! I didn't mean that!"
After that embarrassing incident, I took a shower and went to bed. Even if she's in another room, it's still unusual to have a girl in my house.
Don't think about it...
...
When I worried about not being able to sleep, there was a knock on my bedroom door, and I saw MJ standing there, wearing one of my shirts.
Oh?
These events are exclusive to H manga! Don't get your hopes up, Allen; you'll end up embarrassed. That's right; this is the classic moment where the protagonist thinks he's about to get lucky, but it turns out to be a troll move by the author.
Mary Jane acted shy as she held onto the shirt, trying to cover her exposed thighs. But the shirt was not big enough to allow her to do that.
She gave me a determined look. "Allen,
would you mind if I stayed for a while?"
What?
No! Wait, Allen!
This is one of those moments where men can easily misinterpret a girl's intentions and end up looking like idiots.
Think about it, Allen. A beautiful girl, a redhead with blue eyes, and despite appearances, a very well-developed body with a E-cup, shows up at your door and asks to stay. It must be a trap. Plus, technically, she's your fan, and she arrives at your room half-naked, wearing one of your shirts... damn, it sounds like character development all over the place.
Allen, think about your next move carefully... tell her to talk tomorrow, that's what I'll tell Mary Jane.
"Go ahead, stay as long as you want, MJ," I said confidently, pointing to my side.
Wait, did I just say that? Oh well, welcome to my canon event.
MJ walked slowly until she reached the side of my bed and lay down beside me. I was pretending to be calm, but inside, I was preparing myself for her to say something related to character development.
I hoped that she would blush from being on my bed since she'd been blushing all day. Instead, she looked melancholic and sad as she hugged my arm.
Damn, I knew it; I don't have the luck of those perverted harem anime protagonists.
===
While Allen was having an intimate moment with Mary Jane, a young Osborn cursed in his penthouse, looking at the city of New York.
"Damn it! I could've given you everything, Jane!" The young man staggered with a bottle of wine in his hand while cursing.
This is Harry Osborn, ever since Mary Jane's brutal public rejection, he confined himself here and started drinking without caring about anything. But he couldn't forget the words of the red-haired girl, which had shattered his heart, making him even angrier.
"Young Osborn, it is my responsibility to stop you if you consume too much alcohol," said a butler behind him.
"Haha, and what will you do? Knock me down?" Harry taunted while spilling the wine on the wooden floor.
The door to the room swung open abruptly, and a middle-aged man in a suit entered. Immediately, Harry paled and lost some of his drunkenness, feeling a hint of fear.
"What does this mean?!" the man shouted while pointing at a phone displaying an image of Harry being rejected.
"Father?" Harry was still under the influence of alcohol and couldn't comprehend.
This man is Norman Osborn, Harry's father, but he is better known for being the founder and CEO of the multinational corporation Oscorp. It is known for being a leader in experimental science and cross-species genetics, although it is also involved in military research.
"You're on the news... people are laughing at you all over the country!, and you're here drinking like an idiot!" Norman was furious and left the board meeting when he learned that his son had a reputation as a stalker.
Harry looked at his phone and saw many notifications. He checked the messages and found several videos of himself being rejected by Mary Jane. Incredulous, Harry threw the phone away and looked at his father with a frightened expression.
This wasn't Allen's fault; after all, there were many students there, and more than one recorded it and uploaded it to the internet.
It not only went viral but became a national trend. After all, to the public eye, he wasn't just an ordinary young man like Allen and Flash; he was Harry Osborn, the son of the billionaire Norman Osborn. This was covered by the news and press.
Harry ran his hand through his hair and paced around, not knowing what to say. He was so affected by this rejection that he didn't realize the implications.
"Father, I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention for this to escalate to this level."
"Not your intention?" Norman nodded and smiled, then his face turned furious. "Not your intention?! You're now a damn stalker on national television!!"
Harry was scared and backed away until he touched the wall, but his father approached and held him by the face. "I don't care about your parties, I don't care how much you spend on your games and luxuries, but never ruin your reputation!," Norman let go of Harry, and the latter collapsed to the floor.
"It's wrong, it's your reputation, Father," Harry said in a low voice.
Norman looked at his son coldly. "Yes, it's my reputation... You're my son and your reputation is mine!. Behave and stop acting like a spoiled brat!"
"Hahaha!," Harry laughed, his face contorting with frustration. "We both know you don't care about what I do as long as it doesn't affect you. Just do what you always do, hold a press conference, and apologize for having a mediocre son."
"Are you going to play the victim, brat?!" Norman exploded.
"I'm not like you!," Harry also shouted.
Norman grabbed a bottle of whisky and threw it against the wall. "This is you, Harry!. All these years, I gave you everything in the world, the best education, anything you could need or want, and I only asked you to act with dignity, and you!..."
Norman approached and pointed his finger at Harry's chest as he scolded him. "If you, Harry, you decided to become this, a damn alcoholic brat who spends money on cars and luxuries and then destroys them for fun. Do you want my approval? Why don't you start by behaving like a man?!" Norman turned and started walking towards the exit.
"I'm not a genius," Harry said from the floor.
Norman stopped and turned. "But you're my son, and that should have been enough."
"You know it's not like that, I'm not enough to fill your shoes... I never will be, I can't compare to many people who work for you, even Peter is better than me."
"Is that the reason for all your stupidity?" Norman turned around furiously and left the place. "You're right Harry, you're a disappointment, but not being a genius has nothing to do with it..."
Harry remained silent as he heard his father's final words. He already knew that, but they had never been spoken and he hadn't wanted to hear them.
"Young Harry, your father..." the butler had been silent and decided to speak to ease the tension.
"Leave..."
"Young..."
"Get out!!"
"I'll be outside..."
Harry got up and started breaking everything in the penthouse: imported tables, expensive bottles, the television.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!" In the end, he screamed with all his strength, filled with anger, and sat on the floor with several cuts on his hands.
"You're a liar.... you never gave me your approval... I was never the son you wanted... just the one you got..."
A message came to Harry's phone, and with dull eyes, he watched a video. In it, Mary Jane and Allen were talking in the park; she had a big smile and a hopeful look on her face as she spoke to him.
"Hehehe," Harry's eyes ceased to be empty but filled with darkness, and an uncontrollable desire to do something very wrong began to flood him.
