章 301: A Bath, Together?

When Ana opened her eyes, she was on her soft bed near the hearth, in her room, in her maiden house and ALONE. 

She sat up with a start as the events of last night flashed past her eyes. He had asked her what if he was willing to learn. Learn what? Learn to love her, cherish her like she had always desired?

His words had made her heart pound so hard that she forgot how to speak so she kept staring at him like a fool or mute or both!  She swore she had felt she was going to die at that moment. 

And the way his gaze lingered on her face, on her lips, it was scalding her. She was sure he would kiss her. She desired he would kiss her. But a strange noise took his attention and he opened the door and leapt out of the carriage.

Before she could actually summarize the event in her mind and realize.. he left her. That arrogant duke left her in that moment after throwing explosions on her, he was gone.
