章 1: PROLOGUE
I MET HIM AGAIN

I am now sitting on the sand, feeling the strong breeze.
I closed my eyes then my memory returned to what happened to us.
I never thought I would experience this kind of peace.
All my life I sacrificed my own happiness just to make my daughter alive, so I don't have to feel like I'm a criminal.
I admit that I tried to abort her, but someone prevented me from doing so.
And it's because of him, because of Jacob.
He made me feel everything, every single thing.
I was lost in thought when I felt someone standing by my side, I looked to see who it was.
His right hand was in his pocket, his left hand was holding the glass of wine he was drinking.
He sighed heavily then sat beside me.
"Did I disturb you?" he asked initially.
I just shook my head and smiled.
"so, how's your life with him?" he asked suddenly, then poured some more wine from the glass he was holding.
I smiled bitterly then turned my gaze to him.
he was looking at the sea.
"fine, until now I'm still fixing what I broke." I just looked at him while I spoke.
It's been ten years since Jacob and I got married.
And my daughter, Jade.
She's ten years old now.
Time flies, today is her birthday.
I heard his laugh so I looked at him
"why? What's funny huh?" I asked bluntly.
I suddenly thought that we were all settled.
I don't know how it happened, it just happened.
"I'm... I'm just happy to hear that, Lei." he looked at me with a smile.
We looked at each other.
The way he used to look at me strangely has now been replaced by coldness and innocence, he's like a teenage Primo.
I smiled at the change I saw, then let out a sigh.
Jacob and I are now okay, but he still hasn't returned to his old self.
I've been so harsh to Jacob for so many years, but I took all that back since we reconciled.
He gave me a second chance, and I gave him a chance too.
To love again unconditionally.
