Giving a nod, he pulled his hand away from the Heart symbol, just in case anything that may happen to them. 

Trickery was not pleasant especially if you were the one who was being tricked. 

Alastor undoubtedly did not wish to be the victim of the Holy Spirit's tricks, so he took any possible safety measure he could. 

His body was now coated in a thin layer of Chaos Mana. His skin was strengthened by a few levels due to that.
