章 140: Chapter 140: Don't get Paid Enough

[Third Person's PoV]

Tony's laughter filled the room as he pointed his phone at Bakugo, snapping a series of photos. "Hahahaha!" he laughed, eyes gleaming with amusement as he captured every detail of Bakugo's irritated expression.

"DELETE THOSE, YOU BASTARD!" Bakugo roared, his hands igniting with crackling explosions that sent his wild, spiky hair shooting upward like an angry lion's mane.

Tony, Kirishima, and Denki erupted in laughter, clutching their stomachs as they leaned over in hysterics. Even Momo and Melissa struggled to keep a straight face, turning away and covering her mouth to stifle her own laughter.

"Dude, you gotta send me that pic!" Denki managed between giggles, barely catching his breath.

With a mischievous chuckle, Tony tapped his screen, sending the photo straight to the class group chat. Almost immediately, notifications flooded in with a flurry of laughing and crying emojis, the messages only intensifying Bakugo's glare toward Tony, his eyes seething with rage. If looks could kill, Tony would have already been long gone.

As more classmates started trickling into the classroom, Denki tapped Tony on the arm. "Dude, we saw you on the news during the Hosu incident. You were in a freakin' mecha suit! That was beyond cool!"

From across the room, Mina, perched on Melissa's desk and swinging her legs, chimed in with a smirk. "I saw that too! Do you seriously have a suit for every situation?"

"Remember the army of flying suits?" Kirishima added, looking at Tony with unabashed admiration. "It's Tony—of course he does!"

Denki leaned in conspiratorially, his voice dropping. "Hey, did you guys watch the Stain video that leaked? When Endeavor finally got him?"

"Oh, yeah. The Hero Killer Stain video," Sero said, joining the group. "He looked wrecked, though. Endeavor must have hit him hard."

Tony turned his gaze to Midoriya, whose face flushed as he quickly looked away, realizing Tony had noticed his discomfort.

"He did look seriously beat up," Denki commented, "but honestly, that's part of what made him scary. The guy was relentless. You can see it in his eyes—one-track mind, total conviction. Kind of... cool, don't you think?"

"Kaminari!" Midoriya protested, his voice carrying a note of disapproval.

Denki clapped a hand over his mouth, throwing an apologetic look toward Iida. "Sorry…"

Iida shook his head but managed a sympathetic smile. "It's all right, Kaminari. I understand why some might find him compelling. He certainly has a strong sense of conviction. But that same conviction led him to believe that society needs a 'purge.' That's misguided and dangerous!" Iida's arms swung in his trademark robotic fashion as he declared, "I vow to stay on the path of true heroism to ensure no one else goes astray!"

Just then, Aizawa strode into the room. "Everyone to your seats. Class is starting."

The students scrambled to their desks, snapping to attention under their teacher's stern gaze. As Aizawa took his place at the front of the class, he froze, his eyes narrowing. "Stark… No pets are allowed in school."

Tony merely grinned, glancing down as Master Splinter popped his head out of his bag, folding his tiny arms. "I am not a pet, mister," Splinter declared indignantly.

The class stared in stunned silence, jaws dropping. Tony simply looked at Aizawa with a smug grin. "Our principal is literally a mouse. Surely, you're not being a speciesist?"

Melissa shot Tony a disbelieving look. "That's the counter-argument you came up with?"

Aizawa's eyes twitched in silent frustration. Before he could respond, Splinter cut in smoothly. "I promise, sir, I'm just here to learn. I'll be no trouble at all."

Aizawa exhaled in defeat, muttering, "I don't get paid enough to deal with this nonsense. Just don't be a distraction."

"Much obliged." Splinter offered a tiny salute, sitting back with a satisfied nod.

...

As the class ended and everyone began filing out, Aizawa signaled Tony to stay behind. "Stark, a word."

"Ooooh, you're in trouble," Denki teased, flicking his fingers as he walked past.

Tony rolled his eyes with a chuckle, waving off the comment as he watched his classmates leave. When the last student exited, he turned back to Aizawa, raising an eyebrow. "This about your friend?"

Aizawa nodded, his usually stern face shadowed with concern. "Mic and I... we tried to reach him. Just to see if he was still there—if there was a piece of him left." He swallowed, his voice uncharacteristically vulnerable. "He was, if only briefly. We brought it to Nezu, and he agreed. You might be our best chance to help him, to undo what AFO has done."

Tony's gaze turned serious as he considered the challenge. "Undoing it entirely might not be wise. The alterations are what's keeping him alive. But I could stabilize what's been done, maybe even restore his true memories and who he was before… everything. I'll need some initial tests to see what we're up against. Just give me a time and place, and I'll take it from there."

Aizawa's brow furrowed in thought, finally nodding. "This weekend. We'll meet at the facility where he's being held."

"Got it." Tony nodded firmly. "Anything else?"

Aizawa hesitated, his usual stony mask softening. "Just... thank you, Stark."

Tony smirked as he started walking away, raising two fingers in a casual salute. "Don't thank me yet. I'm just doing what I was trained to do—helping someone in need."

He turned the corner, leaving Aizawa with a rare, small smile.

Just as Aizawa began to turn away, Tony's face popped back around the corner, his grin wide. "On a scale of one to ten, how sick was that exit line?"

Aizawa let out an exasperated sigh, shaking his head with a reluctant smirk. "Get to your next class, Stark."

"Seeing as you were smiling to yourself, I'm gonna take that as a ten." With a wink, Tony disappeared down the hall.

Aizawa chuckled softly to himself, shaking his head. "This kid…" he murmured, the hint of a fond smile on his face.

As Tony walked through the empty corridor, he couldn't help but smirk. 'Although I said it's about helping someone… that teleportation quirk might just become mine.'
