As you can guess , the elves were the ones who attacked him. He can see the face of that enemy and he was an elf. But even when they have a good relationship with those elves, Alex did not contact them or went to their world. So most likely he was an unfamiliar person to those people. So most likely he got targeted by them because he was a human and he was the first human who came to the fourth floor and also built the territory for the earthlings.
