The next day, before everyone wakes up, Henrick and Georgina go outside to take a walk in a nearby park. Although she's against ongoing and has no will, the man didn't leave her alone rather keeps ringing the alarm tone in his phone. In the end, she gives up, lets him drag her along wherever he wants to go.
They left the house before the sunrise, both of them didn't encounter someone on the way. Neither people whose walking nor jogging. They saw no one, which made Georgina sigh in relief. Both of them continue to walk without worry until they reach the park. It's a wide area, it has an enormous fountain in the center, trees and some benches where people can take a rest. The surrounding and atmosphere around is quiet great and can ease up someone's mind. But as soon as the sunrise came, people keep coming one after another. Henrick notices the uneasiness on her face, so he walks somewhere with a few people.
In the middle of their walk, he hastily stop that made Georgina bump into his back. She's about to speak but heard a dog bark in their direction. A Golden Retriever and a woman in her mid-20s are in front of them. It seems like Henrick knows the woman because they are talking comfortably to each other while touching the dog's head. She startled when the dog takes a step towards, sniffing her limbs. It made her body freeze. Golden Retriever is a large dog and known as friendly to human and smart but Georgina is not fond of dogs.
"Don't get scared. Poori is not a dangerous dog. You can touch him, he'll not bite you." Henrick said, while crouching down and caress the dog's face. Poori seems happy and licks his face and wags his tail.
"Who is she?" The woman asked.
Georgina looks straight at the woman. It's a tall, slim and dazzling pretty woman with a light brown long curly hair. She's wearing a plain black leggings and a sweater. Her beauty can captive a lot of man by just one glance. Georgina never praises a woman like she's thinking now, but can't help to be mesmerized by her pure beauty.
"She's Georgina Alvarez," Henrick said while still playing with the dog.
"Hi. I'm Nicole Frias, Henrick's ex-girlfriend. It's nice to meet you."
"E-Ex?" Georgina can't help to blurt out the single word out of surprise. She can't imagine that a rude, stubborn man like him can catch a woman like her.
"The two of us are compatible with each other but we broke up a month ago, but too bad our relationship ended in a week." Nicole laugh like it nothing.
"A week?"
"Don't you know Henrick? Are you his new girlfriend? Don't expect that your relationship will go longer than a week or two."
"You're talking too much. Let's see each other sometimes."
He stands up, bid goodbye to both the woman and dog as they wait for them to leave before continuing walking again. It's lucky that they met the woman. Georgina's mood changes and diverts her mind to something else.
"Well, you know it's not what you think..." He said in the middle of walk.
"You live your life to the fullest, you're lucky." She chuckled. It made him stop. "I wonder how many women you broke up now."
"A-ah... I-It's just a fling..."
"Fine. I'll think of it just like you told me but..." She stop from walking and look at him straight in the eyes. "You're soon to be wife is unlucky to have you. Besides, you're a type of person who'll cheat."
"W-what? If I marry someone, I'll stick to her."
"You should act rather than speak."
She continues to walk ahead of him, who's gone speechless because of those words she blurted out.
After half an hour, they stop on a bench and rest there for a few minutes. There are a few people around, most of them are on the lawn sitting while talking to each other. Some kids are playing together with their dogs. It's a peaceful scenery and there's no vehicle passing by the area. You can only hear those people's voices, the rustling of leaves on the ground and the chirping of birds. Henrick left her for a second to buy some drinks, so she's alone now, savoring the peaceful silence.
It's been less than a week since she left their house without giving some explanation to her father. Until now, she can't still believe that her father hit her hard to the point the pain lingers for a few days. She wants to call him but he'll never listen unless the evil witch which is her mother is around poisoning his mind. Two days ago, she called Jin to ask if something bad happened to Giovanni and his family, but luckily, everything was fine. Maybe the reason they didn't touch him was because of Henrick's statement. Although she knows he blurted those words out of nowhere, it still helps her a lot.
All this time, Georgina only wants peace of mind. She doesn't want either her mother or father to mess with Giovanni's life. Her father believes that the reason she went back to the US is that of Giovanni messing with her life. Before she can explain, her mother has already twisted the truth and until now, her father is mad at him.
A sigh escaped from her mouth, close both eyes and calm herself. It only takes a minute before she felt something cold on her face. She looked beside and saw an iced matcha latte that Henrick bought.
"What's with a deep sigh?" He asked, sitting beside her.
"It's nothing,"
"It seems like you came back to your senses at last. You should take care of yourself from now on." He said while opening a wrap of sandwich and give it to her. "Eat a lot and regain your energy. I'll let you use the marriage as an excuse, so take your time to do whatever you have planned."
Georgina looks at him with surprise. "W-what do you mean?"
"I'm not an idiot to not see the pattern," he cross both legs before taking a sip on the Americano. "In fact, I'm against the marriage. Those words I'd said back in the party are all on a spur of the moment. I didn't mean some of it."
"Well, it hurts to hear those words from someone who didn't know me, but like you, I'm against it. But what can I do? I caught off-guard." She gives a short laugh and eats the sandwich.
"Don't you like your mother?"
"She's the first one to show how disgustful I am to become her daughter. I hate that evil witch."
Henrick looks at her, but she stares in front with those sad eyes again. In fact, when he watch the video rather than feeling disgust or pity on what she'd done, he felt something off. She's pleading not for herself but for the sake of other. He accepted the offer to meet up again to see for himself what she look like but didn't expect the abrupt change of her body. Thin body, big eye bags and pale skin. It's as if she doesn't care about everything anymore. Back then she told them, they don't need to marry each other just accept the engagement but he still express the will not to accept it. They even bump into each other in the hallway, towards the comfort room, and notice the lifeless eyes of her. He ignores it and went back to the VIP room to eat, but the look in her eyes still bother him.
In the end, Henrick told his parents he has something to do, but the truth is he's going to search for Georgina. The time he found her, it's too late. She's on the phone staring across the road, but as soon as he looks to the other side, he saw her mother holding a phone with a shocked face. Before he can run to stop her from taking a step to the main road, someone had already run faster from behind. It's like a flash. He can feel the gush of wind as the man runs. Behind him, he heard Kiela's voice calling out for a man's name.
They run after him when both the man and Georgina fall to the ground. She's crying out loud. The two seem to know each other well. Then he remembers the same man who came with Kiela in their studio. Both of them are acting different, they seem cared for each other but choose the latter. Since then, Henrick figure out something from those incidents. Georgina, her mother, and the man look connected to each other.
He's not sure about it, but his instinct tells it's somehow right.
"Hey,"
"What?"
"What are you planning to do?"
"I'm not strong enough to bring that evil witch down. She has a trump card in her hand. I also have one, but I'm afraid to use it."
"You're lucky to have me. Use all the resources you can get through me. Besides, both my parents have many connections. If you asked for help, they'll do it. Don't dare to fight alone,"
"Isn't it unfair to you? I can get something from you, but you can't get something from me." She looks at him, but Henrick tousles her hair.
"Life is not all about give and take. You can always give something for free, but you can't take anything by force."
Georgina flinch on those words he blurted out. Her eyes widened for a moment before she give a short laugh. "I can't believe a womanizer like you can say such words."
"W-what did you say?"
