I woke up in the morning feeling tired and lazy. I didn't sleep early because I wasn't comfortable on the new bed. There was nothing wrong with it, but it felt empty and different.

Gavin came to get me for breakfast. We weren't the only ones living in the house. There were other hunters present too. The breakfast was just as extravagant as the one at Oscar's house and the cook was excellent but I couldn't eat much. All I did was remember how Oscar and I would talk and laugh during breakfast. He was always planning something exciting for the day and asking me what I wanted. Here we all sat and ate in silence. I guessed Gavin noticed my mood because he decided to sit with me instead of sitting at the head of the table, to discuss our itinerary for the day.
