Karen was too damn stubborn. I knew I couldn't outrightly forbid her from going to the other side of town, because of what had happened the last time, but I also knew going there wouldn't be safe especially Jenny's Cafe. I was pissed at James for not coming when she invited him.

Karen's aunt had explained to me how unsafe she was. She told me John Hunter was watching her Cafe. What if he ended up seeing Karen? My pack wasn't on board with this. No one would help me rescue Karen if John gets his hands on her and I couldn't drag my best friend, Gavin into this. He was already risking a lot by agreeing to train her.

I punched a hole into the wall of my office angry at Karen. It was almost as if she did not know the severity of her situation. All the sex and pleasure had made her forget what happened at her apartment. I was very angry at her.
