章 172: The Raging Blizzard (4)

The sky, which should have been with the first light of daybreak, remained unexpectedly dark, with just the faintest lightening of soft gray along the horizon. It felt like evening more than morning as if night had decided to extend its stay.

The blizzard raged on for two whole days, growing fiercer and more intense by the passing hour. The intense cold was almost too much to take, biting so sharp that it could gnaw at exposed flesh and cut through the bone.

Snow had built up immensely, piling high as it cloaked the entire city of Odelle in a heavy layer of white.

The wind was so strong it battered against the windows, sending tremors through the frosted panes as it shook fiercely. 

Visibility dropped a short distance ahead because of the thick snowfall. Going outside would be a foolish idea as the biting winter air could steal someone's breath away.
