章 55: The Chamber of Souldition

There was a strange silence in the dining room of the Golden Draconian Palace. The two women were stuck with their mouths open at the king's words. Ayala was still sitting next to Terix, while Hope was standing tall above all, yet motionless. 

Drake's grin was coming from seeing Hope in that particular situation. Rare and short were the moments when she was speechless. His devastating tornado would not be stopped by that. Yet, the man was there to enjoy the surprise on her face, awaiting to turn again into a ravishing force to be reckoned with. He was only there for the fun as long as that force was not unleashed upon him.

Terix was the one who broke the silence, looking at Hope. "Would you reconsider going through the Rite of Passage?"

Instead of answering, the woman raised her chin with determination and pride. Her gaze was still on the king, who was smiling just like Drake. "When and where?"
