章 147: Amongst Friends

"I see you moved out of the manor," Hope started, without further ado. 

The house in which she and Ayala were received was crammed and smelled of mold. Cracks in the walls and ceiling highlighted the wreckage aspect of the room that seemed to fall over its visitors. Hope looked around. The old furniture completed the bleak decor.

"The manor burned to ashes almost two weeks ago," Agatha stated, sitting on an outdated couch. She gestured for her guests to sit as well. "I didn't want to take the rooms of the others, so we crashed here instead. The renovation will start soon."

"We? Do you mean you and your wolf?" Hope asked, raising an eyebrow.

Agatha waited for Hope to take a seat on the chair in front of her. Then she said, "Without a doubt. But I don't believe you came to the Forest of the Damned to talk about Zeir and I. I have no desire to justify my actions in front of you."
