"Excellent, excellent!"
Ollivander put the wand away in its box and tied a delicate knot with a ribbon, "Pine usually chooses wizards who are self-reliant, with unique personalities that would even be considered isolated. For its part, the phoenix is an independent, and solitary creature..."
At this point, Ollivander shot Andy a slightly different look.
"Many Wandmakers insist that pine wands choose wizards who live long lives, and I recognise that - as I've never met any pine wand holder who died young. As for Phoenix, it represents rebirth by fire."
So, I can wander as I please?
Andy was a little excited.
Ollivander continued, "Wands choose wizards, Mr Collins, and I'm sure you'll do well in the future. But at school, you should try to make a few more friends."
"Well then, thanks for your patronage, seven gold galleons."
"Thank you, Mr Ollivander."
Andy took the wand case and handed Ollivander seven gold Galleons, but didn't leave immediately.
Originally, Andy didn't believe in the whole wand choosing a wizard thing, but this wand with pine wood and phoenix tail feather seemed to be extraordinarily fitting for him.
Any time traveller who comes to the world of Harry Potter, he believes, will pursue power and longevity. As for the love and friendship in Dumbledore's words - that stuff is fine if you have it, it seems that there is no need to deliberately pursue it.
Well, it was true that when you saw a girl you fancy, you had to take the initiative to pursue her, and Andy was very experienced in this regard.
As for being independent...even isolated...
Andy knew himself well enough to know that he was a common time traveller and possessed all the traits of a time traveller. Independence and longevity - it had to be said, it was as if the wand had been specially prepared for him.
"Mr Collins, is there anything else?" Seeing that Andy didn't leave, Ollivander asked with some curiosity.
"Yes!"
Andy frowned, "Mr Ollivander, you said that the wand chooses the wizard, but people's personalities are not set in stone..."
Ollivander was not impatient, instead, he explained patiently, "Of course, this situation is rare, but it is not unheard of."
"In fact, every wand is only a half-finished product, it will grow with the chosen wizard and gradually adapt to the wizard's personality and spellcasting habits. So even if the wizard suddenly has a change in temperament, the wand will change with the wizard."
"Remember, the wand is the wizard's most trustworthy companion."
"Thanks!" Andy nodded his head to show that he understood.
Although Ollivander's explanation was a bit idealistic, the magic world was supposed to be like this, and it didn't seem strange that wands had their own personalities.
"I'm also going to buy a wand care kit."
Andy decided that in the future, he would treat his wand like a girlfriend and try to make this wand fall in love with him as early as possible.
Well...if it was a witch, it would be possible to treat the wand like a boyfriend.
Well, maybe it's a little thin?
After buying his wand, Andy went to Madam Malkin's Robes to purchase three sets of Hogwarts school uniforms.
The school uniforms needed to be ordered and would be sent to Andy's house in three days.
After buying the wands and Hogwarts school uniforms, Andy went to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and ordered a cup of ice cream, which he ate while waiting for Helen and Isabel.
Every time she came to Diagon Alley, Isabel would never go back without eating ice cream from this shop.
After waiting for about ten minutes, Helen held Isabel's hand and walked into the Ice Cream Shop, "I let the owl send the stuff back home. Andy, you and Isa wait here for a while, I have some things I need to take care of."
"Got it, don't worry!" Andy casually said.
Apart from the kind of particularly honest people, there were basically not many honest people in the magical world.
Everyone was a wizard who had mastered magical powers, so it would be strange to conclude that they hadn't done anything bad in secret.
Not to mention others, even the model good student like Hermione had already learnt bad things in less than a year after entering Hogwarts. From breaking school rules to breaking the law, none of it was a problem as long as they didn't get caught.
Helen was a Potions Master, and taking occasional forbidden potion orders didn't seem to be a big problem either.
Even if she was discovered by the Ministry of Magic, there was Kyle to help with the relationships. Not only that, there was always an illegal Portkey at home, so running away would only take a split second.
The cauldron of Polyjuice Potion that was boiling a month and a half ago had already been delivered a long time ago, and thus a large amount of gold Galleons had made its way into the family's vault.
To be honest, it was really somewhat abnormal to be as poor as the Weasley family in the magical world.
At first, Andy thought that muggle money could be exchanged with money in the magical world at will during the first few years when he travelled across the world.
Only after asking Helen did he realise that only the young wizards from the Muggle world could exchange a certain amount of money every year.
Helen felt sorry for this as well.
After she learnt that Muggle's money could be exchanged for gold galleons from her classmates in the past, she even went to learn the Imperius Curse and the Memory Charm, but it turned out that the Gringotts didn't have this service at all.
After waiting for about fifteen minutes, Helen walked into the Ice Cream Shop with a frown on her face, "Andy, Isa, it's time to go home."
"But I haven't finished eating yet," Isabel said pitifully, she didn't want to go home so early yet.
"You can eat when you get back home, mum's gotta do something important." Helen, without further ado, dragged Isabel out of the ice cream parlour.
After returning home through the fireplace, Andy looked at Helen and asked, "Do you need any help?"
"Well...it's an advanced potion that you can't handle."
"What is it this time?"
"Truth Potion!"
Well, Andy understood what was in store for this one.
Truth Potion was not absolutely effective, there were many ways to ignore the effects of Truth Potion, so this thing could not be used in occasions such as trials.
But when combined with a Cruciatus Curse, the Truth Potion was very effective.
Whoever bought this was definitely a dark wizard.
Helen went to make the potion, Isabel continued to eat the uneaten box of ice cream, and Andy, when he saw that there was nothing else to do, took his wand out of the box.
"Andy, are you going to cast a spell?" Isabel looked at Andy curiously.
"I want to try!"
Andy flipped open The Standard Book of Spells - Grade 1.
As a first-year magic spell textbook, the book "The Standard Book of Spells - Grade 1" only recorded nine simple spells, and these spells could be easily recognised as parlour tricks just by listening to their names, and they didn't seem to have the slightest bit of power.
But Andy was not disappointed at all.
It was true that the Charms class would only teach some basic magic, and the real attack-type spells, or defensive-type spells, were actually the contents of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
Quirrell, as the big boss of the first part, although his brain wasn't very good, he couldn't be just as watered down as the professor of the flying class, right?
After all, if he was going to disguise himself as a professor and wait for an opportunity to steal the Philosopher's Stone, he had to act like one.
If he really turns out to be a dud, won't he be sacked by Dumbledore?

Happy Reading!!!
With infinite longing for the future, Andy flipped through the book "The Standard Book of Spells - Grade 1" with great anticipation.
"Lumos!"
Andy gently waved his wand according to the standard gestures depicted in the book and whispered the incantation, and the tip of the wand suddenly emitted a faint bright light.
"This is the Wand-Lighting Charm? It's unexpectedly simple!"
As the basis among all magic spells, the Wand-Lighting Charm, the young wizard only needed to strictly follow the steps depicted in the book to cast the spell, and the possibility of failing to cast this spell is basically non-existent.
Even if a certain young wizard's brain was the same as a troll's, they could still succeed after a few more tries.
However, the description of the Wand-Lighting Charm in the textbook was not just about gestures and incantations.
The book's description of the Wand-Lighting Charm was very comprehensive, with magical principles, applicable occasions, and magical changes after becoming proficient - including, but not limited to, throwing the Wand-Lighting Charm out.
In short, as a first-year textbook, this book was undoubtedly qualified.
"Haha! Andy, you're screwed!"
Isabel suddenly gloated and laughed, "I heard that young wizards can't cast spells outside of school, and you're about to be expelled from Hogwarts."
"Let's see, Andy, you should be the first young wizard since Hogwarts was founded to be expelled before enrolling, right? Congratulations, you've made history."
The little brat rolled around on the sofa in glee.
"Silly girl!" Andy retorted a sentence, my sister with bird brain!
The Ministry of Magic, in order to prevent underage young wizards from casting spells outside the school, first established the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, and then set up the 'Trace Threads' to monitor the spell casting of young wizards outside the school.
According to the Collins family's ancestors' constant trial and error of the laws of the magical world, the so-called 'Tracer Thread' was naturally not considered a secret.
Firstly, only young wizards who entered Hogwarts to attend school would have Trace Thread monitor on their bodies.
And Andy is currently not officially enrolled in school.
Secondly, the function of the 'Trace Thread' was not perfect, it was a ranged monitoring, mainly targeting Muggle-born young wizards, the reason being to prevent the magical world from being exposed.
As for the young wizards from wizarding families, as long as there were adult wizards accompanying them, the Tracer Thread would completely lose its proper function.
Of course, if there were no adult wizards around, even if a young wizard from a wizard family cast a spell outside, the Ministry of Magic would still detect the traces of the spell.
Without bothering with Isabel anymore, Andy silently switched on the system and then waved his wand.
"Lumos!"
The red liquid in the orb seemed to have increased a bit from a month and a half ago, only Andy hadn't figured out the principle of the increase in red liquid so far.
Andy had a guess, just that it was hard to get verification before.
'Is it related to the attributes on the prompt?'
With this doubt, Andy continuously waved his wand.
"Lumos!"
"Lumos!"
After a dozen or so attempts in a row, Andy was keenly aware that the red liquid within the orb seemed to have risen slightly by an amount.
A very tiny rise, if not for careful observation, Andy might not even notice it.
Over the past five years, Andy had never stopped studying the system.
The system had a total of ten attributes.
On the left side were: Charm, Transfiguration, Dark Magic, Alchemy, Divination.
The right side was: Magic, Soul, Mind, Thinking, Will.
Andy's previous guess was that the red liquid inside the orb could only be increased if he exercised and improved the ability of the five attributes on the left side.
Over the years, Andy had tried all sorts of methods but had only obtained one potential point.
Practising the control of magic power was not actually counted within the attributes of 'Charms', and Andy had not been able to read books related to spell casting before.
However, the red liquid inside the orb still increased, and it also accumulated to be full once, giving Andy a potential point.
Originally it was just a guess.
Now it was confirmed.
Over the past five years, Andy had raised a total of two attributes, the [Magic] attribute had changed from [1] to [2], and the [Soul] attribute had changed from [3] to [4].
Both were passively raised.
Other than that, the originally unstable magic power had gradually become stable.
The gradual stabilisation of the magic power was actually tantamount to a disguised enhancement of the abilities related to Charms, Transfiguration, Dark Magic, and so on.
After trying countless approaches, this was the last few possibilities that Andy could think of.
"So the next step... is to learn the magic spells and then start practising a lot."
In other words...
'If the left attribute can really increase the red liquid inside the orb due to the improvement of its ability, then Dark Magic will have to be considered within the 'scope of learning'.'
I want to learn all the magic in the world.
Learn the truth of magic.
Seek immortality and power.
My wand represents isolation, isolation from the world, longevity and rebirth.
"This persona is really familiar."
Andy pondered.
'If I get into Slytherin and get a bunch of poisonous snakes as pets, and release them to bite people when I fight them...'
Am I the Uncle Snake of the wizarding world?
Do I have hidden ambition in my eyes?
"Actually, if you think about it, the Slytherin House seems pretty good."
Slytherin House was originally symbolised by the emphasis on ambition, leadership, craftiness, determination and resourcefulness.
But as some rumours about Slytherin himself emerged, Slytherin House became a symbol of pureblood.
"Let's forget about it, it's better to take things like Sorting Houses as they come."
In fact, in Andy's opinion, the greatest treasure of Hogwarts was the collection of books in the library that had been collected for thousands of years.
Perhaps, it was also the greatest treasure in the magical world.
As long as one learnt the magics written on them, one could naturally become a powerful wizard.
***
In the evening, when Kyle came home from work, Helen had also prepared a sumptuous dinner and the living room was filled with the fragrance of it.
"Andy, you're pretty happy today, aren't you?"
Kyle spoke excitedly, "I haven't asked yet, what is your wand made of?"
"Pine wood with phoenix tail feather." Andy was tired now after practising magic all afternoon.
"Not bad, wands with phoenix tail feather are rare, but pine wood is just about as common as it gets." Kyle was an ordinary wizard, his judgement of a good or bad wand was the wood and the core.
Isabel whispered a complaint, "Mum, Andy cast a spell in the house today."
"Be careful."
Helen looked at Andy and said, "If I'm not at home, just read the book, don't wave your wand around freely when you have nothing to do."
"Got it!" Andy nodded.
"Speaking of which..."
Kyle suddenly suggested, "Andy's at school age now, so how about we have a little family celebration? The last time Andy and Isa saw their grandfather and grandmother was last Christmas."
"What do you think?" Kyle turned his head to Helen.
"Hmm! I'll write to them tomorrow, then." Helen couldn't deny it.
Andy looked at the three family members at the table and suddenly felt that there was still some difference between himself and Uncle Snake's persona.
