Arissa smiled at Collins back before looking over to her sister, "You have to stay strong Adele." Arissa said moving forward to her sister before sitting on the seat beside the bed.
She placed her phone on the flower table close to the bed before taking her sister's hand in her's gently, "Do your best okay? I love you so much so you have to stay strong for me. For us." Arissa said with little tears rolling down her cheeks.
She never felt she would still sob this way even after strictly training her emotions never to show themselves. But now, she's still a crying mess.
And suddenly, the door was pulled open from the outside. Arissa quickly cleaned her tears before turning to the door and about to lash out_
"Jocelyn" Arissa called swallowing all her anger at the person who opened the door without knocking the instant she saw who just come in, "What are you doing here?" she asked.
But Jocelyn just ignored her and walked over to the bed after tossing her bag away without a care, "Oh Adele," she cried out as she held Adele's hand with her hands.
Adele was also a big sister to her so when Collins told her what happened and where they were they just skipped the idea of staying in a hotel.
"I'm sorry," she cried and rested her head on her both palms that she used in holding Adele protectively
Arissa gulped her tears in and watched her friend sob lowly, "I'm sorry for not informing you Lyn," Arissa apologized immediately.
She felt ashamed to let this out as a sin her family committed.
She was just so caught up in the mess that she forgot she had people whom she could still reach out to and who would be there for her.
"Hey, don't say that. I get what you are going through now." Jocelyn said understandably before walking over to Arissa.
She pulled her into a warm hug, "Your parents did this?" Lyn asked softly in the hug.
Arissa pulled away and looked at Jocelyn's face before nodding her head lazily, "And am getting married soon, " Arissa announced with a sadistic chuckle that sounded very traumatic.
Jocelyn blinked in disbelief "Married?" she asked.
"Mhn. Look." Arissa held both of Jocelyn's hands before looking into her eyes, "I can do it and I will do it. I would have lost Adele if I said the opposite of what they wanted" And with that speech, Arissa dug into details of what had happened since she came back and also how she signed the contract without her husband's family name or photos
"The police can't get into this," she added guessing what Jocelyn was suggesting.
Jocelyn breathed out before holding both sides of Arissa's arms and swallowing her initial words, "You can do it okay?" she comforted and Arissa could only nod her head before also giving her details about what she planned to do tomorrow night.
"Holy Lord," Jocelyn screamed playfully as she laughed with Arissa at her idea but her smile came down and became serious, "You have to be careful out there. Virgin badass," She advised smiling Arissa.
"Yeah. I will. It's better than all of these actually," Arissa said glancing at her nails.
"Don't forget to send me pictures of each of them and let me decide the most good-looking for you" Jocelyn reminded, "You still have a taste"
Although Jocelyn's words made sense, Arissa's head swirls a little with imagination "Can you give me a few tips on what to do with him?" Arissa finally asked from the best rather than imagining.
Looking at both appearances, Jocelyn looks more reserved and loving while Arissa looks more straightforward and flirting but they are the opposite of each onlooker's view of them.
Arissa might appear bold, but she is more reserved and only bold when she has to speak up while Jocelyn is never scared of speaking and flirting even with the opposite sex.
"Thought you would never ask," Jocelyn said dramatically holding her chest, "Okay so here is the thing....."
.....
Around five a.m., three doctors came in and after a round of tests and scans on Adele which took close to three hours, she was out of danger but still in a coma state.
Arissa felt okay from the latest improvement in her sister's health to the point that she had a beautiful smile on her lips while talking to the nurses and doctors.
The huge price she paid by giving away two years of her life is worth it. There was a knock on the door after what seemed like an hour and then, Collins walked in...
Collins ran his hand through his scattered hair fixing it before walking closer to Arissa, "You did not sleep" he scolded her before glancing at Adele.
"Mmh," she agreed, "You said she had to pass last night so I had to stay awake and watch over her to pray every second she passed the night," she said.
Collins nodded at her words before taking her appearance in that she had taken her bath already "Have you eaten yet?" Collins asked her to check her sister's pulse to be sure of his colleague's reports.
"No," Arissa said also glancing at her sister with a happy smile "You did not sleep either," she said to him as she stood up and helped him fix his hair well.
Collins closed his eyes when her fingers went into his hair. He could not help but smile happily.
This is the first time she is this grateful for her actions towards him and now, they are everything he wanted them to be a couple but he is so slow and now, he has to live with it buried in him again until two years would be over just as before.
His face turned sour at the thought of her going out of his reach again.
"Thank you so much," Arissa thanked him again as she cupped his face not knowing the amount of control she had over him
And before he could reply, Jocelyn walked in with a bag containing the things she went out to get. She gave Collins a quick look and then at Arissa's hands on his face and back at Collins and as if her look burned, Collins took a step back.
"I would be outside," Collins said with a light smile on his lips to Aris,sa and before he could kiss her forehead_
"Eat with us," Jocelyn said knowingly stopping him from doing what he was about to do, and with that, he could only glare at her and she smiled pretentiously at him.
