Raquel was about snapping at the person who opened her door without a proper knock but when she saw who was standing at her door, her cursing words choked her up.
"Mom,"
"Raquel," her mother opened the door wide, "Can I come in?" she asked for permission.
Raquel sat up on her bed with a forced nod. Hannah gave her a harmless smile before proceeding further into the room.
Standing before her daughter's bed, she questioned, "You skipped dinner, why?" she scanned the room to see if there was any obvious reason that might have caused her to skip dinner.
"Why are you asking?" Raquel asked in a fussy tune, "It's not like you care if I'm happy or not," she laid down back on her bed.
Hannah's brows raised voluntarily at her daughter's insolent tune. She went closer to the bed and sat at Raquel's leg side, "Dear, did I do something wrong?" she asked, her tune careful not to annoy her daughter the more.
