章 570: ANTICIPATION

The weather on Martial Island remained warm and unchanging, but there was a difference in the air. There was a hint of excitement on the faces of the inhabitants of the little island. The change made Akira a little uncomfortable because she had gotten used to the austere nature of the people.

"Do they have to be so excited?" Akira turned to ask as she pushed the stroller through the shopping district. 

Kaito laughed. "You cannot blame them. The Triennial Championships are about to begin. This is the only time most of these people will see outsiders." 

Akira rolled her eyes. "We are also outsiders. They stopped looking at us a long time ago." 

"Are you jealous?" Kaito asked. "Do not worry. I am always looking at you." 

"Who wants you to look?" Akira pouted.
