Caeden stared at me, a lot of confusion and hurt reflected in his eyes. It had been years since he had spoken and yet in this very moment, he found his voice again. The first word he said was call out to his mother, my wife who no longer recognized him. I didn't want him to find out this way at all, this wasn't how I had wanted him to find out. I planned I was going to tell them, I didn't know when but I swear I was going to tell them, I just never expected it to be this early at all.

When he spoke the first word and called Arianne, I was stunned into silence which was why I didn't say anything or try to correct the situation. His voice was just too beautiful and it was perfect. It was what I've been wishing and praying to hear all these days and the joy in his eyes coupled with relief. Caeden looked so beautiful at that moment I wanted to call the artist to capture this moment.
