章 53: Punishment

Samantha blocked the door with her body and looked at her younger sister angrily. "No, you can't leave this room! Dad will ask for you after he wakes up! You nearly killed father today! I won't forgive you if you leave again!" she said vehemently.

Helen released a deep sigh of guilt and remorse. "I'm just going to talk to Peter for a few minutes," she pleaded in a calm voice.

Samantha crossed her arms. "I'm not stupid, once you leave this room, you will never return!" she said icily, her nostrils flaring, not trusting her younger sister even for a few seconds.

Helen looked at Stephanie for help. "I'm just going to talk to Peter and tell him to bring some of my clothes here because I'm going to take care of our father," she insisted.

"Are you sure?" Stephanie asked, feeling doubtful.

"Yes. I've decided to stay here with Dad so that I can make up for my mistakes," Helen said in a serious tone.
