The next morning, Emily didn't seem surprised to find Justin curled up next to her and even moved closer to rest her head against his neck. Was she fully conscious after all? She had seemed so out of it.

He was confused but didn't say anything about it, deciding to savor the moment. But the nagging thought of 'why' plagued him the whole time she was out shopping for Christmas decorations. He could hardly concentrate on his project.

She didn't seem like the kind of girl who would randomly invite someone into her bed in the middle of the night just because she was grateful…but she might if she felt sorry for him. No words had been spoken between them about what Emily had discovered from Alexa…

That reminded him, he still needed to talk to her. Maybe that could help him make sense of it all.

'Hey, what are you doing today?'

'Working on my web comic. What's up, Mr. AWOL? Finally decided to contact me, did you?'
